Sail Turkey prides itself on the service it provides to its guests. The Turkish gulets we use are of the highest standard. You will be on a boat with other people from all walks of life, countries and ages. There will be up to 16 or 18 of you. If you are travelling as a couple, you will be given your cabin; some of our boats have triple cabins if you are travelling with more than 1. If you are travelling alone, we won't penalise you for this. You will be placed with other solo travellers on the day. All cabins have ensuite bathrooms and we will provide bedding, but please bring your own towels as there are none on the boat.

Sailing from Olympos to Fethiye will show you some of the best ancient sights. You will visit the sunken city of Kekova, Simena Castle and St Nicholas Island. You can also see amazing natural sights such as Oludeniz Beach and Butterfly Valley. Then swim in some of the most beautiful turquoise and blue waters on your Sail Olympos cruise. The south of Turkey is often referred to as the Turquoise Coast and when you anchor in some of the bays you will see why and how it got its name. Book an Olympos to Fethiye sailing holiday now and you will not be disappointed with Turkey Sailing Holiday.

Tour program

Day 1

Demre / Gokkaya Bay

Today you will be collected from Bayram's Tree House in Olympos (please note Cirali is not included in the pick up) at 10:30 am. There will be another pickup at Demre Bus station at 12:30 pm before we head to the yacht.

We will transfer you by bus onto Ucagiz Village Harbour, where your Turkish gulet will be waiting for you with your friendly crew ready to take you on a 4-day blue cruise. After being checked into your cabins and given lunch, it's time to cruise onto the first highlight of your gulet cruise - the Sunken City. As this is a protected sight, you will not be allowed to stop nearby or swim by, so the Captain will go nice and slow for you to look at these ruins lining this shoreline and falling into the ocean. From there, you will have time to go back to land and visit Simena Castle.

Enjoy the sweeping views over the coastline you are about to travel or wander through the unspoiled little fishing village. Afterward, you will be taken onto Gokkaya Bay, where it will be time to anchor down for the evening, and you get to go and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Keep an eye out for the turtles that are found in the area.

10:30 - 12:30

Today it is time to swim off sore heads from the night before and enjoy a short cruise around Kas. You will make a swimming stop along the way before pulling into Kas Harbour.

Optional Activity: Diving in Kas

The waters of the Mediterranean are perfect for this sport. We recommend pre-booking this optional activity online before your cruise to receive special discounted rates and guarantee your dive. Alternatively, you can speak to our friendly staff during your booking or talk to your captain.

Kas is often called many people's favorite place in all of Turkey. A small tiny little village with plenty of charm. What you find off the harbor is the main square with the few little streets making up Kas, coming off there. Take your time to wander along the cobblestone streets and enjoy the shopping Kas offers - especially in jewelry. If shopping is not your thing, find a cafe to have a cold drink or ice cream to waste time. Later in the day, you will leave Kas to cruise onto Aquarium Bay or nearby to anchor down for the evening.

Your crew will wake up early today to start traveling the most extended leg of your journey while you continue to enjoy your sleep. You will be woken up to find yourself in Butterfly Valley. After breakfast, you can either take a stroll through the valley to see if you can spot a Butterfly, or you may be mesmerized by the beautiful blue waters and want to spend your time swimming. The choice is yours. From Butterfly Valley, you can cruise past the most photographed beach - Oludeniz. As you move past, the Captain will moor near the Blue Lagoon. You will have time here for another swim and to explore the lagoon if you feel like the swim.

Optional Activity: Paragliding in Blue Lagoon

There is a chance for those who are daredevils to go paragliding off Baba Dag - the mountain that overlooks Oludeniz. Said to be the best place in the world to paraglide. We recommend pre-booking this activity online for special rates or with our friendly office crew. However, if you decide while here that this is the activity for you, please let your captain know.

After this stop, it's time to head to St. Nicholas Island. Some incredible ruins are scattered all over the island that are well worth exploring - be sure to check out the backside for the theater. The best part is climbing to the island's top to enjoy the evening's amazing sunset.

This morning you will have a few more swims before it is time to make your way back toward Fethiye slowly. You will have lunch in one of the bays along the way, which will be your last chance for a swim. So enjoy the beautiful blue waters once again before you anchor down in Fethiye Harbour after lunch. From here, your blue cruise has come to an end. So it is time to farewell your new friends and friendly Sail Turkey crew members. You will leave your Olympos to Fethiye Sail with an amazing, unforgettable experience highlighting your time in Turkey. You will make your way from Fethiye Harbour to your accommodation or your next destination. If you need any ideas or assistance with your ongoing accommodation plans, please be sure to speak to the Sail Turkey staff at the time of your booking for further information.

Important note: although we use the word Sail, our Turkish gulets cruise with their motors. No sailing is usually done along this coastline. Please also note your safety is our top concern. So should the weather change at any time on your cruise and the itinerary has to be changed - this will be done for the safety of our guests. Our crew will always let you know of any schedule changes. No money will be refunded.
