Day 1

Arrival in Dushanbe

Arrive in Dushanbe in the morning, where a driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After settling in, embark on a city tour, visiting the Tajikistan National Museum of Antiquities, home to the revered Buddha in Nirvana statue. Continue to the Botanical Garden, a favorite spot among locals, and experience the vibrant atmosphere of a local bazaar. Overnight in Dushanbe.

Set off towards the Pamir Mountains, passing through Tavildara and Khaburabad Pass or via the Kulyab region. Your destination is Kalai-Khumb, a charming town on the Panj River. As you leave the capital, witness the transition to rural life, marked by traditional attire and warm hospitality. Overnight in Kalai-Khumb.

Drive to Khorog, the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan region, nestled in a picturesque valley. Follow the Panj River and glimpse into Afghanistan across the river. Khorog, situated at 2,000 meters above sea level, offers a unique landscape where the Gunt River merges with the Panj. Overnight in Khorog.

Visit the famous thermal springs at Garm Chashma before heading to Ishkashim, located at the mouth of the Wakhan Corridor. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Pamir Mountains to the left and the Hindu Kush to the right, with peaks soaring above 6,000 meters. Overnight in Ishkashim.

Travel to Langar, visiting the historic Silk Road fortress of Kah-Kaha in Namadgut along the way. Explore the Museum of Sufi Muborak-Kadami Vakhani and the Buddhist Stupa in Vrang. Visit the sacred thermal springs of Bibi Fatima Zahra and the ancient Yamchun Fortress, once a key Silk Road outpost. Overnight in Langar.

Ascend to Langar village to view ancient petroglyphs. After lunch, drive to Yashikkul Lake via Khargush Pass (4,344 meters). Arrive in Burunkul and spend the night in a guest house.

Return to Khorog via Koi-Tezek Pass (4,271 meters). Enjoy a leisurely walk around town and lunch en route. Overnight in Khorog.

Visit Khorog's botanical garden before heading back to Kalai-Khumb. Overnight in Kalai-Khumb.

Drive back to Dushanbe via Khobu-Robot Pass (3,252 meters). Arrive in the capital and overnight at your hotel.

Travel to Iskanderkul Lake via the Anzob Pass (3,373 meters). Enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake, named after Alexander the Great. Arrive in the afternoon and stay overnight at a guest house.

Drive to Penjikent and check in at the hotel. Begin your excursion with a visit to the Museum of Rudaki and explore the ancient ruins of Penjikent, founded in the 5th century and abandoned in the 8th century. Discover the remnants of homes, a citadel with Zoroastrian temples, and an ancient bazaar. Overnight in Penjikent.

Journey to the Seven Lakes of Marguzor, located in the Fan Mountains. Each lake boasts a unique color, from turquoise to deep purple. Enjoy a picnic by the seventh lake, Hazorchashma, before returning to Penjikent. Overnight in Penjikent.

Travel to the Artuch Mountain Base, located in the heart of the Fann Mountains. The base features comfortable accommodations, a Russian sauna, and various facilities for relaxation. Overnight at Artuch Base

Return to Dushanbe, passing through the Istiqlol Tunnel. Arrive in the capital and enjoy some free time. Overnight at your hotel.

Check out of the hotel at noon. Enjoy some final free time before your transfer to Dushanbe International Airport for departure. This concludes your remarkable journey through Tajikistan.
