Tour program

Day 1

Bale

Arrival at Pula Airport. Pick up of the rental car. The first stop on the journey is Bale, a pretty little town in the interior of Istria, where some of the most important wine regions in Istria are located. Your bed will be in the Hotel La Grisa, where you will not only sleep in a heavenly ambience, but also enjoy a delicious meal. Numerous local delicacies await you, such as oysters from the Limski Canal and, of course, white or black truffles. Had enough of feasting? Then it's worth visiting the picturesque old town of Rovinj, which is considered one of the most beautiful towns in Croatia. Why not also make a detour to Pula? Pula - known for its numerous Roman buildings and of course the amphitheater. The Brijuni National Park, which has fourteen islands, is also just a few minutes' drive from Pula.

Now it's off to the deep hinterland of Istria, to Motovun, a pretty medieval town situated on one of Istria's many hills. A breathtaking panorama greets you in Motovun with views of vineyards, forests and the Mirna river valley. You will spend the night in the charming Hotel Kaštel. The whole area is known for its truffles, which you will find in numerous restaurants in the region. The menu also includes wild asparagus, manestra (Istrian vegetable soup) and octopus from Medulin. Accompanied by a glass of the typical Istrian wine Malvasia or red Teran, both of which are grown nearby. You will want for nothing!

On the way to fashionable Opatija, you should make a stop in the fishing village of Volosko. Volosko has some excellent restaurants that you should definitely not miss. Opatija invites you to stroll, relax and swim. In the evening, we recommend dining in one of the many restaurants. In addition to first-class fish and crayfish, Kvarner cuisine also offers wild fruits such as mushrooms and berries. You will spend the night at the Hotel Palace Bellevue. If you feel that after this gourmet week you would like to get some exercise, then the Opatija Riviera is just the place for you: a 12 km long Lungomare walking path along the sea awaits you.

Your journey home starts today. You will drop off your rental car at Pula Airport, from where your return flight departs.
