Start point

International Terminal, Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal

01:00 - 00:00

Pokhara offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, five peaks of Annapurna range and others. Numerous lakes of Pokhara offer fishing, boating and swimming, the city itself is popular as city of lakes. Pokhara is situated in centre of Nepal and it is nestled in a region of awesome natural beauty. The valley is filled with lush vegetations, swift flowing rivers and dotted with clear, shimmering lakes. It is one of the major towns of Nepal. Providing a perfect gateway from the chaotic life in the cities. Pokhara is the blessed with the backdrop of the one of the most dramatic sceneries in the world. A 140 Km of Panorama made up of towering Himalaya ranges seen chose enough to be touched on a clear day. If Kathmandu is the cultural hub of Nepal then Pokhara is the centre of adventure.

From Pokhara, we will drive to Nayapul (42km) by car/taxi via the large village of Lumle and walk for about 20 minutes to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town. The trail follows the main street of Birethanti, going through bamboo forests and past a large waterfall and swimming hole. Beyond a pasture used by pony caravans, the trail reaches Ramghai where you will have lunch. After lunch, the trail climbs gradually up the side of the valley, reaching Tikhe Dhunga. Overnight at guesthouse

From Tikhe Dhunga the trail crosses a stream on a suspension bridge near the camp site at Tikhe Dhunga. The trail ascends a steep stone staircase (which has about 3300 steps) to the large Magar village of Ulleri at 2080m. Above the village, the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields.

There is a camp site for a rest and water stop one hour’s walk above Ulleri. The trail crosses two sparkling streams before making a short, final climb to Nangethanti where we stop for lunch. Thanti is a Nepali word meaning “rest house”. In the winter the trail can be covered with snow.

From Nangethanti we will climb to Ghorepani at 2850m, from here we can see the spectacular panorama of Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Tukuche Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna I (8091m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Tarke Kang (7193m). Overnight at guesthouse

This morning, we will get up early and hike to Poon Hill. From here you will see a superb view of the sunrise and a panoramic view of the Himalaya, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and others. After visiting Poonhill, we will come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and continue walking to Tadapani. Overnight at guesthouse

Dropping down from Tadapani Gurjung the route offers good views of the upper Modi valley. The path then starts the long ascent high above the west bank of the Modi Khola. We pass the village of Chhomrong which lies tucked at the very base of Himal Chuli. From Chhomrong the trail descends until Chhomrong Khola then trail begins a slow climb as we head up to our destination for the day. Overnight at guesthouse,

We proceed to Kuldi Ghar about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs walking. There is a clearing in the forest a little further on, from there the route goes very steeply down a bank of rock and then levels out, running through thickets of bamboo at the bottom of the gorge, keeping always on the west side of the river. We pass by the pasture of Tomo, and then the very neck of the gorge at pantheon Barah, where there is a small trail and a shrine. The track climbs to Himalayas. Overnight at guesthouse,

Today we climb on past the Machhapuchhre Base Camp (which isn’t really a base camp since climbing the mountain is not permitted) to the Annapurna Base Camp. This area is called the Annapurna Sanctuary since it is totally surrounded by mountains. From here it is a two-hour trek to Annapurna Base camp, which offers spectacular views. Overnight at the guesthouse,

We follow the same trail down today the trail drops by 1,700m to the bank of Modi Khola to Bamboo at 2,345m where there are a few teahouse/lodges available to stay at. Overnight at guesthouse

Today, we follow the same trail until Chhomrong. Once we have passed Khuldighar there is an experimental sheep farm, the trail continues through rhododendron and bamboo fields. From Chhomrong the trail descends very steeply to the Jhinu hot spring, where you can bathe in natural hot springs. Overnight at guesthouse,

On this day, we will enjoy the views of waterfalls, landscapes, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Fishtail and many more. Overnight at Guest House.

Early morning we can enjoy the view of Sunrise, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Machhapurchre & the countryside. After breakfast, we take a 2 hours easy downhill walk to Phedi where the road links to Pokhara. It is simply half an hour drive to Pokhara from Phedi. Afternoon relaxing or shopping on your own in Pokhara.

After having breakfast we drive back to Kathmandu on private car. It is a fascinating drive of 5 - 6 hours (200 k.m) by following the Marshyangdi and Trisuli river.

We will arrange airport transfer 3 hours prior to your departure time. Farewell!
