16 Days Everest Base Camp Trekking with Luxurious Accommodation including 5 star Gokarna Forest Resort  is offered to the travelers who are keen to  being a part of a legendary and the most classical trekking trail in Nepal with luxurious accommodation all round the trip including 5 star Gokarna Forest Resort.  This trekking trip is completely distinct from other normal trips to Everest Base Camp. We primarily emphasize on convenience and luxury of the travelers. 

The most pursued dream of the trekkers while they choose to visit Nepal is to see the top of the world, Mt. Everest (8848m). Trekking through Namche Bazar via Tengboche to Kalapatthar and Everest Base Camp is an exhilarating moment for the trekkers. In every step of your trek will invaluably historical for you if you choose to make your trip to Khumbu region where world tallest giant peaks are proudly welcoming the trekkers and adventure seekers. The thrills of being in Everest Base camp is just awesome. Most important, having an insight of Sherpa kingdom and experiencing Himalayan flora and fauna in Sagarmath National Park will be another splendor to this trekking. 

Everest Base Camp trekking commences after a sightseeing tour within Kathmandu valley. It is a visit to UNISCO World heritage sites. Then you will have short scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Upon your arrival at Lukla , we begin trekking to Phakding and Namche. Namche Bazar is known as the gateway to Everest Region. The Tibetan market, Hotel Everest View and some astonishing mountain views are major attractions here. Passing through holy monastery at Tengboche takes the trekkers to Lobuche and Gorakh Shep. A climb up to Kalapatthar offers you one of the most breath-taking views of mountain giants including Mt. Everest, which cannot be witnessed from the base camp, and like Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori and Cho Oyu. And your further venture to Everest Base Camp will offer you an opportunity to view more splendid view of snow-fed peaks.

Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site, located at the highest elevation in the world, attracts thousands of trekkers in Everest region. While making a trip to Everest Base Camp, we go through Sagarmatha National Park and have an insight of alpine wildlife and vegetations including musk deer, Derow, Ghoral and Himalayan Thar as well as red-billed chough, impheyan pheasant, blood pheasant and yellow billed chough. Besides, Everest Base Camp Trekking offers a spectacular experience of the culture and civilization of Sherpa people. Finally, a luxury relaxation at 5 star Gokarna Forest Resort is a memorable ending of this trip.

Optional: For all the helicopter enthusiasts, you now have an option to take a luxurous and adventurous helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and back from Lukla to Kathmandu (extra charges apply) . With this, you no longer have to worry about flights being delayed or canceled, which can happen every now and then due to bad weather.

Tour program

Day 1

Arrival to Airport

Your arrival to Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer to Hotel. Orientation in the evening at around 5 PM. After your orientation meeting, welcome dinner with the cultural program (A program with dances and singing from different ethnic groups and cast of Nepalese community with Nepalese dinner) at Local restaurant. Overnight at Hotel Himalayan Suite. (D)

Day 2

Kathmandu to Lukla by flight and trek to Pakhding (2600M.)

Early morning flight to Lukla, the gateway to Khumbu region to start the trek. The trek starts from the very day to the up-hill up-to Phakding for 3-4 hours. We will stop at Phakding and stay overnight at guesthouse. (B)

Day 3

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3535M.)

Early morning after breakfast, we start our journey through a pine forest and walk alongside the Dudh Koshi river. We ascend on a steep trail and reach Namche Bazaar (5-6 hours) which is probably the biggest town in the Everest region. Overnight at Hotel Sherpaland. (B)

Day 4

Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar.

To avoid the altitude sickness, we need to acclimatization in Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazzar is the most beautiful and primary town of the Everest region. The place is occupied by the colorful market with ATMs, government office, shops, restaurants and so on. Overnight at Hotel Sherpaland. (B)

Day 5

Trek to Tengboche (3850M.)

From here we ascend towards Tengboche village which houses the very famous Tengboche monastery which is the biggest monastery of the Everest region (5-6 hours). Overnight at Rivendell Guest House (B)

Day 6

Trek to Dingboche (4350M.)

Our trail descends and passes through lush forests of birch, confer and rhododendron trees. While trekking we can admire good views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. We continue our walk to the Imja Valley and Lobuche River before ascending to Dingboche (5-6 hours). Overnight at Bright Star (B)

Day 7

Acclimatization in Dingboche.

Spending a day in Dingboche will help us to acclimate to the high altitude. We can also admire the picturesque Imja Khola Valley and the beautiful Dingboche village. Overnight at Bright Star (B)

Day 8

Trek to Lobuche. (4940 M.)

We ascend to the steep terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. As the trail drops to the Khumbu Glacier moraine, we find ourselves facing several great peaks including Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal (5-6 hours). Overnight at Mother Earth Lodge (B)

Day 9

Trek to Gorakshep (5160M) and hike about 2-3 hour to Everest Base Camp and trek back to Gorakshep.

The trek to Everest Base Camp is not very difficult. However, we ascend and descend mostly on a glacier path. The Everest Base Camp is stunningly beautiful. We can enjoy amazing views of Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori mountains from the base camp. After soaking in the beauty, we walk back towards Gorak Shep where we spend the night (6-7 hours). Overnight at Himalayan Guest House (B)

Day 10

Hike to Kalapathar (5545 M) and trek back to Pheriche.

The day’s first light will illuminate your spectacular view of Nuptse Cholatse and Lhotse. This may be, of the whole journey, you are the most opportune moment to snap amazing pictures of Everest and its neighboring peaks. Afterwards, it’s back to Gorekshep for breakfast and down to Pheriche (5-6 hours). Overnight at Pumori Lodge (B)

Day 11

Trek down to Namche.

The walk from Pheriche back to Tengboche is mainly downhill, although it does, counter-intuitively, require an hour scaling a hill. We'll be in Namche by late afternoon and off to bed before our last day on the mountain (6-7 hours). Overnight at Hotel Sherpland. (B)

Day 12

Trek to Phakding.

We snap a mixture of open plains and pine forests and in the distance snow covered peaks. We walk through the Sherpa villages’ noticing impressive faith in Buddhism and culture of prayer stones and prayers flag while we walk through the villages (4-5 hours). Overnight at guesthouse. (B) 

Day 13

Trek down to Lukla.

After breakfast, you trek toward the Hillary Suspension Bridge and then pass through several local villages. Your arrival in Lukla brings an evening in a proper hotel and, traditionally, a party with your trekking crew (3-4 hours). Overnight at Hotel Mera (B)

Day 14

Fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla.

After the continuous trekking for 13 days, finally, you will catch the early morning flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. After reaching the Kathmandu, the airport representative escorts you to the hotel and have a special 30 minutes body massage at the hotel. Evening dinner and Overnight at Gokarna Forest Resort. (B.D).

Day 15

Kathmandu Sightseeing tour.

After breakfast, full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley in various sites which have been listed in the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. (Pashupatinath Temple or Kapan Monastery, Boudhanath, Swaymbhu and Patan Durbar square). Overnight at Gokarna Forest Resort. (B)

Day 16

Departure or Extra tour.

You will have your breakfast in the morning and the airport representative will drop you to the airport for your International flight as per your flight schedule. Or if you are staying Nepal for few more days, you can join another trip. (B)

Booking Terms & Conditions

Down Payment / Deposit:

To secure place, 20% down payment is required to make in advance as per the company policy. Rest payment can be paid 30 days prior to departure.

Please contact us if this will cause you a problem; we do try to be flexible

Payment of the Balance:

Rest amount can be paid before a month of your arrival. If you choose to settle your holiday balance by credit card a handling charge of  4% on the outstanding balance is made. There is no handling charge for payment by bank transfer.

Last Minute Booking:

We accept your last minute booking for ONLY IN CASES OF NEPAL TRIPS, but LAST MINUTE BOOKING WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE FOR INDIA, BHUTAN AND TIBET TRIPS).

Refund:

No refund will be made for 20% deposit amount in case of cancellation of trip for any other else reason but we are flexible to postpone your trip in any later days. Having paid full amount of any trip, you will get your money back but still cancellation charge (20%) is invoiced to you. Written notification of your cancellation should be made to cancel any trip.

Supplement Charge:

On our holidays tour / trek packages, rooms or tents are provided in twin sharing basis. Thus, single room supplement charge will be imposed to client who does not have another tour participant to share room /tent with.

Incomplete Tour:

No refund will be made to clients who drop out from the journey regardless of whatever portions remain unused in the itinerary.

Unforeseen Circumstances:

If Himalayan Social Journey company cancels your trip because of unforeseen circumstances like war, natural disasters, conflict, unfavorable climate etc., we will be happy to refer you alternative trip of a similar standard. Even if this doesn’t fit your personal interest, all money paid by you to our company will be refunded. But remember, any other expenses incurred by you as a result of this booking are entirely your responsibility.

Clients' Responsible:

A tour / trek guide who represents Himalayan Social Journey Company deserves all authority during your tours. 

Travel Insurance:

You must purchase comprehensive travel insurance package against medical, natural calamity, helicopter evacuation, personal accident, trip cancellation etc. This is strongly suggested to all our  clients.

Tour Amendment:

To make alterations of any trek / tour itinerary, prior notice is requested. You’re advised to stay in touch with us. But occasionally, you may be obliged to do so en route under certain circumstance for instance bad weather etc.

Papers & Documents:

All necessary documents should be presented in sequence for example to issue visa, necessary permits etc. We’re not accountable in case of any trip formality not completed in time before the trip departs on the absent of essential papers and documents.

Flight Delay/Cancellation:

There is virtually possibility of flight delay or postponement for notorious weather in Himalayan regions which could be happened, in particular, in Everest region (Lukla), Jomsom, Dolpa, Simikot and Jumla region etc. In such case your itinerary will be modified.

HSJ mission is to finance its community enhancement programs through the revenues generated by tourism. The proceeds from any HSJ organized tour and trek goes 10% directly to uplift educational status of needy children of rural areas of Nepal through Himalayan Community Project.

  • Accommodation in Kathmandu first 1 night after your arrival (Himalayan Suite hotel ) on twin sharing bed basis with breakfast. And Last 2 nights accommodation before your departure at Gokarna Forest Resort including one buffet dinner, half an hour massage, and two breakfast.
