DELHI ERKUNDEN

Frühstück. Ganztägige Besichtigungstour durch Alt- und Neu-Delhi.

Wir beginnen unseren ersten Besuch in diesem magischen Land mit der Erkundung Neu-Delhis und seiner wichtigsten Monumente:

Besuchen Sie den Qutub Minar, dessen Bau 1193 begonnen wurde und der die Gründung des ersten muslimischen Königreichs in Nordindien markiert. Dieser fünfstöckige Siegesturm wurde von Qutb-ud-din Aibak begonnen und von seinem Nachfolger Iltutmish vollendet. Er wurde gebaut, um die Vorherrschaft des Islam zu symbolisieren.

Fahren Sie weiter zu Humayuns Grabmal, das von seiner älteren Witwe und Mutter von Kaiser Akbar erbaut wurde. Dies ist das erste Beispiel der Mogul-Architektur in Indien und soll das Taj Mahal inspiriert haben.

DELHI - JAIPUR

Frühstück. Fahrt nach Jaipur. Nach der Ankunft Transfer zum Hotel.

Jaipur, die Hauptstadt von Rajasthan, ist bekannt für ihre charakteristischen rosafarbenen Gebäude - eine Farbe, die in der Rajput-Kultur die Gastfreundschaft symbolisiert. Die von Raja Jai Singh im 18. Jahrhundert gegründete Stadt ist von Hügeln umgeben, die von Palästen und Forts gekrönt sind. Kamele und farbenfroh gekleidete Einheimische spiegeln das Erbe der Wüste wider. Die Märkte sind voll mit handgewebten Textilien, Kunsthandwerk und Souvenirs.

JAIPUR - AMBER FORT - JAIPUR

Frühstück. Um 07:00 Uhr werden Sie vom Hotel abgeholt, um das Amber Fort zu besichtigen (Auffahrt mit einem Elefanten, Abstieg mit einem Jeep).

Reiten Sie auf einem Elefanten zur Spitze des Hügels, auf dem sich das Amber Fort befindet. Genießen Sie von hier aus die Aussicht auf die historische Stadt Amber und den Maota-See. Amber war einst die Hauptstadt des Staates Jaipur. Der Bau begann 1592 unter Maharaja Man Singh, einem Rajputen-Kommandanten in Akbars Armee, und wurde später von Jai Singh I und II erweitert.


Unterwegs halten Sie für einen Fotostopp am Hawa Mahal (Palast der Winde), der 1799 erbaut wurde und dessen fünfstöckige Fassade den königlichen Damen die Möglichkeit bot, das Straßenleben ungesehen zu beobachten.


Am Nachmittag besichtigen Sie den Stadtpalast, die ehemalige königliche Residenz, die heute teilweise ein Museum ist und noch immer die königliche Familie beherbergt. Der Palastkomplex umfasst ein Waffenmuseum und eine Textilgalerie, in der Kleidungsstücke und Stoffe aus ganz Indien ausgestellt sind.


Weiter geht es zum Jantar Mantar, dem größten steinernen Observatorium der Welt, das zwischen 1728 und 1734 von Jai Singh erbaut wurde. Es enthält 17 Instrumente, von denen viele noch funktionstüchtig sind.

JAIPUR - ABHANERI - FATEHPUR SIKRI - AGRA

Frühstück. Fahrt nach Agra mit Besichtigung von Abhaneri und Fatehpur Sikri auf dem Weg.


Abhaneri ist ein kleines Dorf im Norden Rajasthans, das für seine Denkmäler aus der Zeit nach Gupta und dem frühen Mittelalter bekannt ist. Besuchen Sie Chand Baori, einen der größten und tiefsten Stufenbrunnen Indiens, und den Harshat Mata Tempel, ein Symbol für die Tempelarchitektur des 10. Jahrhunderts.


Weiter geht es nach Fatehpur Sikri, das von Kaiser Akbar zwischen 1571 und 1585 zu Ehren des Sufi-Heiligen Shaikh Salim Chishti erbaut wurde, dessen Segen zur Geburt von Akbars drei Söhnen führte. Diese verlassene Stadt ist eine Mischung aus hinduistischen und islamischen architektonischen Elementen.

AGRA - DELHI

Frühstück. Besuchen Sie das Taj Mahal (freitags geschlossen), das Agra Fort und Itimad-ud-Daulah.


Das Taj Mahal, das von Shah Jahan zum Gedenken an seine Frau Mumtaz Mahal erbaut wurde, ist ein atemberaubendes Meisterwerk, das islamische, persische, indische und türkische Architekturstile vereint. Es wurde in 17 Jahren von 20.000 Handwerkern aus der ganzen Welt erbaut und gilt als "Gedicht in weißem Marmor".


Besuchen Sie das Agra Fort, das 1565 von Akbar begonnen und von seinen Nachfolgern fertiggestellt wurde. Es verbindet Verteidigungsarchitektur mit palastartigem Design und bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf das Taj Mahal.

Frühstück. Vormittags Stadtrundfahrt durch Varanasi, einschließlich Bharat Mata Mandir und Durga-Tempel.


Ausflug nach Sarnath, wo Buddha seine erste Predigt hielt (Dharma Chakra Pravartan). Besuchen Sie die Dhamekh Stupa, Tempelruinen, Klöster und das Archäologische Museum von Sarnath, in dem schöne buddhistische Skulpturen zu sehen sind.

KATHMANDU

Frühstück. Besichtigung von Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath und Patan Durbar Square.


Der Kathmandu Durbar Square (UNESCO) beherbergt Paläste, Tempel und Höfe aus der Zeit von 1200 bis 1768 n. Chr. und spiegelt das religiöse und kulturelle Leben der Stadt wider.


Die Swayambhunath Stupa (UNESCO), auch als Affentempel bekannt, ist mehr als 2.500 Jahre alt und steht auf einem grünen Hügel, von dem aus Sie einen Panoramablick auf das Tal haben.
