Heute Morgen werden Sie von Ihrem privaten Reiseleiter an Ihrem Hotel in Kairo oder Gizeh abgeholt, um den Tag mit einem Besuch des Gizeh-Plateaus zu beginnen und die weltberühmten Pyramiden von Cheops, Chephren, Mycrenos und Sphinx zu besichtigen, die seit 4500 Jahren stehen. Fahren Sie weiter nach Saqqara, das nur 27 km südwestlich von Kairo entfernt liegt. Besuchen Sie die Stufenpyramide (erbaut für König Zoser), das älteste große Steinbauwerk der Welt in Saqqara. Sie gilt als wichtiger Teil der Entwicklung der Pyramiden, die sich von der einfachen Mastaba zu ihrer weithin bekannten Form entwickelt haben. Diese Pyramide wurde während der Herrschaft der dritten Dynastie des alten Ägyptens vor 4.800 Jahren erbaut. Besuchen Sie auch die Gräber der Adligen in Saqqara und erfahren Sie mehr über das tägliche Leben der alten ägyptischen Adligen.

Sie setzen Ihre Erkundungstour fort und fahren dann weiter in den Süden, um die Rote Pyramide und die Gebogene Pyramide in Dahshur zu besuchen. Dies ist eine berühmte königliche Nekropole in Ägypten, die in der Wüste am Westufer des Nils etwa 40 Kilometer (25 Meilen) südlich von Kairo liegt. Sie ist vor allem für viele berühmte Pyramiden bekannt, von denen zwei zu den ältesten, größten und am besten erhaltenen in Ägypten gehören. Sie wurden zwischen 2613 und 2589 v. Chr. erbaut: die rote und die gebogene Pyramide von König Snefru.

Our expert tour guide will pick you up at 7:00 am from your hotel in either Cairo or Giza to Alexandria which is 220 km away from Cairo. Arrive Alexandria around 10 am and start your day tour by visiting the Roman Theater (A theater with marble seats up to 800 spectators, galleries, section of mosaic flooring and a pleasure garden surrounded by Roman Villas and baths).

Then, you will visit The Catacomb of Kom El-Shoqafa, one of the world’s largest Roman burial sites, the Catacombs are one of Alexandria’s most popular attractions. Watch your head as you descend into a network of underground passages, tombs, and antechambers via a spiral staircase over a three-level tombstone as well as a large Roman-style banquet room, where relatives of the deceased traditionally hosted memorial meals. Inside are 2nd Century statues of Sobek and Anubis wearing Roman Armor.

Our Alexandria day tour continues with a visit to the Alexandria Library. Nerd time! Inspired by the original great library of Alexandria, the modern library was built to hold over eight million books, between 1995 and 2002. It covers 11 cascading levels and although it has not yet reached its capacity, it’s an impressive homage to the ancient splendor of Alexandria. Pick your jaws up off the ground and explore!

Enjoy photo stops at Qaitbay Citadel, a defensive 15-century fortress built on the ruins of the light house of Alexandria; one of the ancient world’s seven wonders. Finish your tour at Al Mursi Abu Alabbas mosque (from outside), an elaborate structure built to honor a Sufi Saint, and have a free walk on the Cornish. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to Cairo. You will be back at Cairo around 19:00 pm
