▶ DMZ Crane Peace Town [10:00]
"DMZ Crane Peace Town" is a special place near the Korean DMZ that promotes peace and protects cranes, which are a symbol of harmony. Here, you can learn about the importance of peace and the efforts to conserve nature, while also enjoying the beautiful wildlife and peaceful surroundings.
▶ Cheorwon DMZ [10:30~13:30]
(1) Cheorwon 2nd Tunnel
Discover the history of the Korean DMZ on a day-long guided tour from Seoul. Visit key sites including Cheorwon GP, 2nd Tunnel, and the DMZ Museum.
Feel the tangible tension at this site, one of the closest points to North Korea's guard posts. From there, delve into the history of the Korean War as you explore the 2nd Tunnel, a reminder of the conflict that has shaped the peninsula.
The tour continues to the Peace Observatory and the DMZ History Museum. Through thoughtful exhibits, learn about the Military Demarcation Line that separates North and South Korea, and the long-lasting impacts of the War.
(2) Cheorwon Peace Observatory
We will take the monorail to move to the Peace Observatory to view the North Korean area. While riding the monorail, you can have a great experience of seeing the wide Cheorwon Plain at a glance.
This observatory allows you to view the Demilitarized Zone and North Korea at a glance and catch sight of the North Korean military through binoculars.
If the weather is clear, you can have a special experience of seeing North Korean soldiers.
After visiting the Peace Observatory, you can explore the War Exhibition on the first floor.
(3) Woljeong-ri Station
As the day unfolds, we'll visit the Woljeongri Station (GP guard post) and the ruins of the Korean Workers' Party Headquarters, symbolic places that provide a glimpse into North Korea.
During the North Korean army’s retreat in the Korean War, only the front part of the train was taken, with only the rear part, which was used as a passenger car, still kept intact.
▶ Lunch [13:40~14:30]
Refuel with a local lunch before we return to Seoul, leaving you back at your hotel. Reflect on a day full of unforgettable impressions and insights into one of the most heavily militarized borders in the world.
▶ Cheorwon History and Culture Park (Millstone Coffee Experience) [14:40~15:40]
Cheorwon History and Culture Park is a historical theme park that recreates the appearance of Cheorwon-eup in the 1930s.
Through modern architecture and exhibitions, you can vividly experience the lifestyle and culture of old Cheorwon.
Don't miss the millstone coffee-making experience!
▶ Hantan River Y-Shaped Suspension Bridge [16:10~16:30]
South Korea's first Y-shaped suspension bridge!
You can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Han River Gorge from three different directions.
From the bridge, you can see the canyon and valley below, offering an exhilarating thrill.
Our return to Seoul Myeongdong is scheduled for around 18:00.
