Full board on board. Today we wake up in Dürnstein, a charming village in the heart of the winding Wachau Valley featuring a medieval castle. From the pier, you can access the historic city center directly on foot, passing through medieval gates to reach Pranger Square. From here, you have a beautiful view of the castle ruins, famous as the place where Richard the Lionheart was allegedly imprisoned. Don’t miss the chance to taste typical wines from the Wachau region.

At midday, we depart Dürnstein to enjoy the scenery of the wonderful Wachau Valley. In the early afternoon, we dock in Melk, a small town world-renowned for its Benedictine Abbey perched high on a rock overlooking the river (optional visit). In the late afternoon, the ship will leave Melk and sail toward Linz. Night on board.

Located between the Danube Valley and the ancient salt route, it has been the most important port of the Middle Danube since the 19th century. Free day to discover the city. We will see, among other fascinating sites, the National Theater, St. Martin's Cathedral, Michael's Gate, the Old Town Hall, and the impressive fortress atop a rock. Our guided tour will take you along wide boulevards toward the famous Parliament, the Opera House, Heroes' Square, the Market, the Chain Bridge, and the Fisherman's Bastion with its spectacular views over the city. This is a significant site in Hungarian history, as it was the first capital of the Kingdom of Hungary and where the first King, Stephen I, was crowned in the year 1000. The Esztergom Basilica is the largest church in Hungary and the symbol of the city. Inside, you will find the largest organ in the country. At lunchtime, we set sail for Vienna.
