Can you ever imagine if is there any peaceful day hiking in Kathmandu Valley?
Well, maybe if we are stuck in only the city area, we cannot believe that there is a heavenly beautiful hiking destination, which offers us more than expected peace and beautiful nature around. Let's think about Shivapuri hiking for 6/7 hours traverse through the dense forest into the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, the closest National park to Kathmandu Valley. The fantastic walking day begins after 30 30-minute drive from Kathmandu. We have to buy entrance permits at the checkpoint. After the processes, we started to walk into the jungle gradually uphill to Shivapuri Peak (2732m) along with watershed, wildlife, beautiful jungle, and panorama of Kathmandu Valley as well as snow-clad peaks on a clear day. On the trail, we will feel super peace and interesting natural diversity.
Here we are at Shivapuri Peak (2732m), Ascending is over but our interesting things are still not over. From the peak, we will descend to Baghwar (Bagmati river starting point) and again descend to Nagi Monastery, where we can spend some time with the nunnery. after that, we will take a car back to the Hotel in Kathmandu
