Aburi Gärten

Einige wurden von Kolonialgouverneuren und Staatsoberhäuptern in Afrika und darüber hinaus gepflanzt, wie z.B. Sir Gordon Guggisberg, General Olisengo Obasanjo, S.E. Jerry John Rawlings, Queen Elizabeth II, Prinz Charles von Großbritannien und viele andere. Diese Pflanzen werden als Nahrungsmittel, für medizinische Zwecke, als Gewürze für die Zubereitung von Speisen und zur Verschönerung verwendet.

Assin Manso Sklavenlager
Fahren Sie von Accra nach Cape Coast und besichtigen Sie unterwegs die Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das Assin Manso Sklavenlager ist ein historischer Ort, an dem die Sklaven ihr letztes Bad nahmen, bevor sie zu den Schlössern für die Verschiffung in die neue Welt gebracht wurden. Die Sklaven wurden aus verschiedenen Orten und Nachbarländern gefangen genommen und zu Fuß, halbnackt und in Fesseln vom Norden in den Süden Ghanas gebracht. Die Stätte ist eine Sklavenbegräbnisstätte und beherbergt auch die Gräber der Nachkommen der Sklaven, die aus der Diaspora zurückgekehrt sind. Die Gäste hätten die Möglichkeit, ihren Vorfahren nahe zu kommen, denn die Menschen glauben, dass die Geister vieler Vorfahren dort wohnen und zu spüren sind.
Cape Coast Burg
Die Gäste besuchen eine der größten Burgen, die 1652 von den Europäern gebaut wurde, um Sklaven zu halten. Hier wurden die Sklaven aufbewahrt, bevor sie durch das Tor ohne Wiederkehr in die "neue Welt" gebracht wurden. Das Tor ohne Wiederkehr wird heute als Tor der Rückkehr bezeichnet, um die Rückkehr der Nachkommen der Sklaven aus der Diaspora zu symbolisieren. Das Schloss diente verschiedenen Zwecken und ist heute ein UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe, in dem die Geschichte der Sklaverei authentisch gehalten und aus afrikanischer Sicht erzählt wird.

Kakum-Nationalpark
Sie besuchen den Kakum-Nationalpark, den zweitgrößten Nationalpark in Ghana. Er ist die Heimat verschiedener Tiere, Reptilien und Vögel, die überwiegend nachtaktiv sind und in der Regel nachts gesehen werden. Es ist ein 15-minütiger Spaziergang/Wanderung zum Canopy Walkway, der Hauptattraktion des Besuchs. Der Steg wurde 1994 von 2 Kanadiern und 6 Ghanaern gebaut und ist etwa 40-50 Meter hoch und etwa 350 Meter lang. Der Steg ermöglicht einen Blick auf den Wald aus der Vogelperspektive und die Sicherheit der Gäste ist gewährleistet, da drei der Ghanaer, die beim Bau des Stegs geholfen haben, immer noch im Park tätig sind und regelmäßige Wartungsarbeiten durchführen. Diese Tour ist für diejenigen zu empfehlen, die ihre Höhenangst überwinden möchten.
Burg Elmina
Das Elmina Castle ist das älteste und größte Schloss unterhalb der Sahara, das von den Europäern im Jahr 1482 erbaut wurde. Ursprünglich wurde sie als Handelssiedlung mit Lagerhäusern zur Aufbewahrung von Waren und Tauschgütern gebaut. Später wurden die Lagerhäuser in männliche und weibliche Kerker umgewandelt, in denen Sklaven für maximal 3 Monate festgehalten wurden, um in die "neue Welt" verschifft zu werden. Die Burg von Elmina ist heute von der UNESCO als Weltkulturerbe anerkannt. Das Schloss diente als Gefängnis, als weiterführende Schule und ist heute eine historische Stätte, die die Gäste mit ihrem Erbe und ihren Wurzeln verbindet.

Tetteh Quarshie Kakao-Farm
Die Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm ist die erste Kakaofarm in Ghana, die 1870 von Tetteh Quarshie in Akuapim Mampong angelegt wurde. Die Gäste werden durch den Prozess der Kakaoplantage geführt, von der Pflanzung bis zur Ernte und dann durch den Fermentationsprozess, aus dem die Bauern rohe Kakaobohnen gewinnen, die in ihrem Rohzustand exportiert oder zur Verarbeitung an Herstellerfirmen verkauft werden. Zwei der ursprünglichen Bäume, die Tetteh Quarshie selbst gepflanzt hat, stehen noch immer auf der Farm und tragen Früchte. Ghana ist bekannt dafür, dass es nach der Elfenbeinküste der zweitgrößte Produzent von Qualitätskakao ist.

Gäste, die Souvenirs einkaufen möchten, um sie als Erinnerung an ihre Reise mit nach Hause zu nehmen und um zu zeigen, wo sie waren, können dies an diesem Tag tun. Wenn Sie einen lokalen ghanaischen Markt erleben möchten, empfehlen wir Ihnen auf jeden Fall einen Besuch des Makola-Marktes, der eine sehr lebendige Atmosphäre hat und auf dem Sie viele lokale Dinge kaufen können. Touristen, die sich für Kunst und Kunsthandwerk wie Holzschnitzereien, Gemälde und afrikanisch bedruckte Kleidung und Accessoires interessieren, können auch das Accra Arts Center oder die Osu Oxford Street besuchen.

Cedi-Perlenfabrik

Bootsfahrt auf dem Volta-See
Bei einer Bootsfahrt auf dem Voltasee können die Gäste das Hochland und die wunderschönen Inseln rund um den Voltasee sehen. Der Volta-See ist der größte von Menschenhand geschaffene See in Ghana und einer der größten der Welt. Die Gäste haben einen Blick auf die berühmte Adomi-Brücke, die vom ersten Präsidenten Ghanas, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, über den Volta-See gebaut wurde, um die Ostregion mit der Volta-Region zu verbinden.

Kwame Nkrumah Museum
Die Gäste besuchen das Kwame Nkrumah Museum/Gedenkpark. Es ist die letzte Ruhestätte des ersten Präsidenten von Ghana, der die Goldküste von der Kolonialherrschaft befreite. Das Museum beherbergt die persönlichen Gegenstände und Publikationen von Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in verschiedenen Phasen seines Lebens, von der Kindheit über sein politisches Leben bis hin zu seinem Sturz und Tod. Es gibt einige Bilder und Videos, die seine Lebensgeschichte mit einigen berühmten Persönlichkeiten aus aller Welt zeigen. Hier stand Kwame Nkrumah, um die Unabhängigkeit Ghanas zu erklären.
Kunst- und Handwerksmarkt
Der Arts and Craft Market ist eine Ansammlung von Ständen, an denen Kunsthandwerk und Souvenirs, die von der ghanaischen Kultur inspiriert sind, wie Kente-Stoffe, Perlen, Schnitzereien und viele andere Accessoires, zum Kauf angeboten werden. Black Star Square
Die Gäste besuchen den Independence Square, der auch als Black Star Square bekannt ist. Es handelt sich um eine riesige Fläche, die von Tribünen überragt wird und etwa 30.000 Menschen Platz bietet. Er wurde von Dr. Kwame Nkrumah zum Gedenken an die Unabhängigkeit Ghanas als Symbol der nationalen Einheit und Eigenständigkeit erbaut und während des Besuchs von Königin Elizabeth II. in Ghana im Jahr 1961 in Betrieb genommen. Der Platz ist Schauplatz wichtiger nationaler und kommerzieller Veranstaltungen des Landes. Er verfügt über Elemente wie den Unabhängigkeitsbogen, die Flamme der Befreiung und das Black Star Monument.
Gäste, die vor ihrer Abreise aus Ghana einen Covid-Test machen müssen, können dies am siebten Tag nach dem Frühstück tun, bevor sie mit den Aktivitäten an den Besichtigungsorten beginnen.

By booking a tour or participating in a tour and any related products or services with Pro Tour, you agree to these Terms & Conditions
THE BOOKING CONTRACT
Your booking is confirmed and a contract exists when the Pro Tour or your travel agent issues a written confirmation after receipt of the applicable deposit amount. Please ensure that you check your confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to the us or the authorized agent immediately. Please ensure that names are exactly as stated in the relevant passport or other forms of identification.
To book a tour you must be at least 18 years of age. You also agree to provide complete and accurate information required to Pro Tour or authorized agent.
BOOKING ON BEHALF OF OTHERS
By booking on behalf of other participants, you are deemed to be the designated contact person for every participant included on that booking. This means that you are responsible for making all payments due in connection with your booking, notifying us or your travel agent if any changes or cancellations are required and keeping your party informed.
You also represent and warrant that you have obtained all required consents. You are responsible for verifying that any information you provide on behalf of another participant is complete and accurate and we will under no circumstances be liable for any errors or omissions in the information provided to complete a booking.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Any special needs must be made known to Pro Tour at the time of booking. Pro Tour ensure that it uses reasonable efforts to accommodate special needs or requests but this will not always be possible depending on the nature of the request, the destinations visited and availability of options outside a planned itinerary. Some activities may be inaccessible to you if your mobility is limited in any way. All food allergies and dietary restrictions must be disclosed to Pro Tour at the time of booking but we cannot guarantee that dietary needs or restrictions can be accommodated. Any special requests or requirements do not form part of these Terms or the contract between you and the Pro Tour and we are not liable for any failure to accommodate or fulfill such requests.
AGE REQUIREMENTS
Anyone under the age of 18 on the date of first travel is considered to be a minor. Minors must always be accompanied by an adult.
All bookings with a minor are subject to review and approval by Pro Tour. The consent of a parent, guardian or any other adult is required for booking and if the accompanying adult is responsible for securing and verifying all consents, documentation and ensuring that they and the minor(s) meet all legal requirements to travel, to enter into and depart from applicable countries and regions.
Pro Tour will not be responsible for any fees, damages, or losses incurred as a result of any failure to secure necessary consents, permits, and approvals.
Each adult on a booking with a minor or minor(s) is jointly and severally responsible for the behavior, wellbeing, supervision and monitoring of such minor(s), and jointly and severally accepts these Terms for and on behalf of any minor(s) on their booking, including all assumptions of risk and limitations of liability. Pro Tour does not provide care services for minors and expressly disclaims any responsibility for chaperoning or controlling any minor(s).
PRICES, SURCHARGES AND TAXES
Pro Tour will not increase the price of your Tour after you have booked and paid in full. Tours are priced and advertised inclusive of applicable taxes.
From time-to-time Pro Tour may offer reduced pricing on certain products or services. Reduced pricing applies only to new bookings. Bookings that have been confirmed and paid for to Pro Tour are not entitled to reduce pricing.
VALIDITY
All dates, itineraries and prices of Tours are subject to change at any time and the current price will be quoted and confirmed at the time of booking, subject to any surcharges that may be levied in accordance with these Terms.
You acknowledge that you are responsible for keeping up to date on specific details of your Tour and any other products or services, including, but not limited to checking the Tour Operator’s website or through a mail at least 72 hours prior to departure as minor changes may have been made after the time of booking.
AIRFARE
Tour prices do not include international or other airfare unless expressly mentioned in the Tour’s descriptions. If you would like us to arrange any airfare travel at an additional cost, you acknowledge that Pro Tour acts only as a sales agent for the applicable air carrier and the air carrier terms and conditions apply to the purchase and use of the air travel ticket. Please consult the air carrier’s applicable terms and conditions and conditions of carriage for complete information including applicable cancellation terms. Pro Tour would not be responsible for changes in air itineraries or flight times and does not provide advice or alerts regarding air travel tickets, flight status or delays.
FINAL PAYMENT & ACCEPTANCE OF BOOKING
The confirmation sent by the Pro Tour or your travel agent will contain details of final payment required for any booking. Pro Tour is not responsible for any charges levied by third parties or financial institutions and payable by you as a result of credit card or other payment transactions and will not refund or return any fees charged by third parties or financial institutions in connection with payments made by you to Pro Tour.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
It is your responsibility to obtain information and to have in your possession all the required documentation and identification required for entry, departure and travel to each country or region. This includes a valid passport and all travel documents required by the relevant governmental authorities including all visas, permits and certificates (including but not limited to vaccination or medical certificates) and insurance policies.
CANCELLATION BY THE PARTICIPANT
You may cancel your booking by notifying the Pro Tour. Cancellation fees, if any, will be determined with reference to the date on which notice of cancellation is received by Pro Tour and are expressed as a percentage of the total price paid for the cancelled Tour, product or service.
Cancellation of a Tour
(a) Cancellation received 60 days or more before departure of first product or service in relevant booking will be refunded after cancellation charges of 5% are deducted and the remainder of the payments made to Pro Tour in respect of the cancelled product will be refunded.
(b) Cancellation received 30-59 days before departure of first product or service in relevant booking will be refunded after cancellation charges of 10% are deducted and the remainder of the payments made to Pro Tour in respect of the cancelled product will be refunded.
(c) Cancellation less than 30 days before departure of first product or service in relevant booking will be refunded after cancellation charges of 15% are deducted and the remainder of the payments made to Pro Tour in respect of the cancelled product will be refunded.
Cancellation of Arrival Transfers, Pre and Post Night Accommodations, My Own Room and optional activities booked directly with the Tour Operator:
(a) Cancellation before departure: you will receive a full refund (if no cancellation fee is required) in respect of cancelled Arrival Transfers, Pre and Post Night Accommodations, My Own Room and optional activities.
CANCELLATION BY PRO TOUR
A departure date for a Tour offered by Pro Tour will become a guaranteed departure when at least one booking secured by a valid deposit has been made on that departure.
Pro Tour guarantees that all scheduled Tour departures booked and secured with a valid deposit will depart as indicated on the applicable confirmation, subject to reasonable itinerary changes as described in these Terms or good faith health and safety concerns. Up to date Tour and itinerary information is available on Pro Tour’s website or by contacting us. Brochures and other printed materials displaying Tour information and departure dates are subject to change may not be relied upon for purposes of this guarantee.
If a Tour is cancelled by the Tour Operator before the date of departure and the cancellation is not caused by your fault or negligence, you will have the choice of accepting from Pro Tour:
(a) a substitute Tour of equivalent or superior value; or
(b) a substitute Tour of lesser value if no Tour of equivalent or superior value is reasonably available and to recover from Pro Tour the difference in price between the price of the Tour originally purchased and the substitute Tour; or
(c) a full refund of all monies paid for the cancelled Tour.
Pro Tour is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that you incur as a result of the cancelled booking including visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail, non refundable car parking or other fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment, Pro Tour reserves the right to issue a full refund in lieu of the choices above, in its sole discretion. Where a significant element of a Tour as described cannot be provided after departure, the Tour Operator will make suitable alternative arrangements where possible. If it is not possible to provide a suitable alternative or if you reasonably reject any suitable alternatives, the Pro Tour may provide you with a refund for unused products or services as determined in its discretion.
LIABILITY
Pro Tour and its parents, subsidiaries and their respective employees, affiliates, officers, directors, successors, representatives, and assigns shall not be held liable for (A) any damage to, or loss of, property or injury to, or death of, persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any other provider, including but not limited to any defect in any aircraft, watercraft, or vehicle operated or provided by such other provider; and (B) any loss or damage due to delay, cancellation, or disruption in any manner caused by the laws, regulations, acts or failures to act, demands, orders, or interpositions of any government or any subdivision or agent thereof, or by acts of God, strikes, fire, flood, war, rebellion, terrorism, insurrection, sickness, quarantine, epidemics, theft, or any other cause(s) beyond their control. You waive any claim against Pro Tour for any such loss, damage, injury, or death.
In the event that any loss, death, injury or illness is caused by the negligent acts or omissions of the Tour Operator or of the Third Party Suppliers of any services which form part of the booking contract then the Tour Operator limits its liability, where applicable by all applicable international conventions.
IMAGES AND MARKETING
You agree that, while participating in any Tour, images, photos or videos may be taken by other participants, Pro Tour or its representatives that may contain or feature you. You consent to any such pictures being taken and grants a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to Pro Tour, its contractors, sub-contractors and assigns, to reproduce for any purpose whatsoever (including marketing, promotions and the creation of promotional materials by or with sub-licensees), in any medium whatsoever, whether currently known or hereinafter devised, without any further obligation or compensation payable to you.
