Tag 1

ATHEN - WIEGE DER ZIVILISATION

Arriving in Athens, we'll smoothly transfer you to your hotel in our comfortable vehicles. Our English-speaking assistant will be with you, ensuring your comfort and care throughout the journey.

In the afternoon, at the hotel, our representative will provide you with all the essential trip details. Get ready for an engaging presentation about the city, where you'll gain insights into its vibrant daily life. Feel free to ask questions and clear any doubts, setting the stage for a pleasant and hassle-free experience throughout your trip.

With the rest of the day at your leisure, embrace Athens at your own pace. Immerse yourself in the captivating sights, sounds, and flavors of this remarkable city

Startpunkt

Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH) Διεθνής Αερολιμένας Αθηνών Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος, Αττική Οδός, Spata-Loutsa, Attica 190 04, Greece

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning at your own pace—sleep in, explore nearby areas, or simply unwind—before meeting your assistant at Syntagma Square at 15:40 to witness the Changing of the Guards in front of the Hellenic Parliament at 16:00.

Shortly after, we will board our vehicle together and begin a panoramic city tour, offering a comprehensive introduction to Athens and its most important landmarks. During the tour, we will see:

The Athenian Trilogy (National Library, University of Athens, and Academy of Athens), the Presidential Residence, the Kallimarmaro Stadium (Panathenaic Stadium), the Zappeion, and the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian’s Gate, while making short stops to take in the beauty of these landmarks and capture memorable photos.

Our tour will come to an end at the top of Philopappou Hill, offering stunning views of the city. Here, our assistant will provide recommendations for those who wish to continue exploring independently, whether visiting the Acropolis, discovering Monastiraki, or enjoying a meal in Plaka.

This tour is conveniently designed to finish at around 19:30, allowing you some time to rest before making your way to Mornastiraki to join the Athens by Night Walking Tour, and see another side of the city under the moonlight.

Early in the morning, your assistant will pick you up in one of our private vehicles and transfer you to the port of Piraeus, where you will board the ferry to the famous island of Mykonos. The crossing is scheduled at the ideal time of the day to enjoy the sun on deck and marvel at the deep blue of the Aegean Sea. The name of this cosmopolitan island denotes "heap of stones" or the "rocky place", but a later version links it to the hero Mykonos, son of the king of Delos, Anius.

Upon your arrival on the island, one of our English-speaking representatives will be waiting to welcome you, transfer you to your hotel, and introduce you to this famous island.

The rest of the day is free for you to relax and immerse yourself in the 'slow' way of life of the islanders.

Free day to enjoy this magnificent island. Mykonos is the meeting point of the international "jet set." The island is famous for its wonderful beaches, dazzling shops, and vibrant nightlife.

Mykonos's cuisine is Mediterranean. Vegetables and olive oil are an integral part of the daily menu. Together with certain spices (oregano, basil) as well as fish and seafood dishes.

A few minutes away by ferry, there is the historic island of Delos. According to Greek mythology, it was the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. This small island has been inhabited since 3000 BC. In the past, it was one of the most important cultural centers of antiquity.

After a tasty breakfast, appreciating life like a Greek, our representative will pick you up at the agreed time, in one of our private vehicles, to drive you to the port, where you will continue to your next destination, the island which is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, Santorini.

Approaching the island, you will have the opportunity to admire the capital city of Fira, with its white houses perched on the cliffside and facing the volcano.

Upon your arrival, one of our English-speaking representatives will be waiting for you at the port to welcome you, escort you to your hotel, and comment a little more on the attractions of this picturesque island. The rest of the day is free to wander through the narrow streets and become part of this amazing world.

Free day to explore, at your own pace, the magical island of Santorini, considered to be the lost continent of Atlantis. Venetian Giacomo Barozzi gave the name of the island. He was inspired by the presence of a chapel dedicated to Saint Eirini.

Optionally, you can go on a dazzling sailboat tour that will take you over to the small islands of Santorini Caldera, Nea, and Palea Kameni, with the hot springs of green and yellow waters.

At the indicated time, our staff will transfer you to the Santorini Airport to fly to Egypt.

After you arrive in Cairo, the capital of the Arab Republic of Egypt, a person from our English-speaking team will be waiting at the exit to assist you during the visa process and inform you of all the details of your trip and clear any type of questions you have, as well as giving you a brief presentation of the city and its day-to-day life.

The transfer to the hotel will be made by one of our private air-conditioned vehicles. At the hotel, the assistant will help you with the registration. The rest of the day will be for relaxing and enjoying the comforts of your hotel.

After enjoying a tasty and abundant breakfast with typical products of the region, our visit to the most important points of interest in the largest metropolis on the African continent will begin.

The tour, as our official English-speaking guide will explain, will start with the famous Pyramids of Giza. Here, we will find the only one of the seven wonders of the ancient world still standing: the Great Pyramid of Khufu.

This funerary complex is presided over by the famous Sphinx, with the head of King Khafre and the body of a lion. We will be able to observe it both from the main access esplanade and up close. Additionally, we can enter the interior of one of the other two pyramids: Khafre or Menkaure.

Optionally, we can include lunch and a tour of the Saqqara necropolis. There, the funerary complex of King Djoser stands out. It is a city built exclusively for the king's afterlife. Its step pyramid is the first stone structure made in pyramid form. It symbolizes the beginning of this type of construction in Egypt.

Furthermore, at night, we can arrange the light show at the Pyramids of Giza. We can also enjoy dinner while floating on the Nile. All of this is optional and should be consulted with your travel assistant.

In the morning, after a delicious breakfast, we will continue our adventure with a full-day visit to Cairo.

Our morning will begin with a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities in the heart of the city. Countless invaluable artefacts are showcased there. Among them, we will find the treasures of Tutankhamun, sarcophagi, mummies, and sculptures of unimaginable beauty.

Next, we'll enjoy lunch. With renewed spirits, we'll personally explore the Coptic quarter, with its melting pot of religions. Highlights include the Hanging Church, the Church of St. Sergius, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of the oldest in the country.

Following that, we'll head to historic Cairo, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Since the 10th century, it has been the area of the Caliphs and their mosques. The Saladin Citadel stands out there, a walled citadel.

Before returning to the hotel, we'll visit the Khan El Khalili bazaar. At this point, we'll have free time to test our bargaining skills.

To conclude, we'll return to the hotel to enjoy its amenities and rest.

At the indicated time, one of our vehicles will take you to the Cairo International Airport to check in your luggage and, if necessary, process any tax refund on tax-free products that you have purchased.

From Greca, we hope to see you again to enjoy some wonderful moments that will remain forever in your memory.

Have a good trip! Or, as you will say yourself: “Rihlat Jayida!”.
