Der Treck beginnt nach einem kurzen Flug von Kathmandu nach Lukla. Von Lukla aus beginnt die Reise zum Everest-Basislager durch den Sagarmatha-Nationalpark, eine zerklüftete und atemberaubende Landschaft mit tiefen Flüssen und massiven Gletschern, die in das Gelände gegraben wurden.
Nach dem steilen Aufstieg durch den Sagarmatha-Nationalpark erreichen die Trekker Namche Bazar. Namche Bazzar auf 3.440 m ist die Heimat der berühmten Sherpas und ein charmanter Rückzugsort in dieser herrlichen Landschaft. Hier gibt es zahlreiche Unterkünfte für Trekker. Außerdem gibt es hier Geschäfte, in denen Sie sich mit zusätzlichen Vorräten versorgen können. Die Wanderer haben die Möglichkeit, das reiche kulturelle Erbe der Sherpas und die abwechslungsreiche Landschaft der Umgebung zu entdecken.
Nach Namche führt der Weg durch üppige Bergwälder, atemberaubende Gletscherflüsse und heilige buddhistische Tempel in Richtung Everest Base Camp und Kala Patthar. In Kala Patthar wird deutlich, warum der Mount Everest und der Sagarmatha-Nationalpark ein so beliebtes Ziel sind. After a good night sleep, we will fly from Kathmandu to the Tenzing Hillary Airport at Lukla. Upon arrival, we will start the trek to Phakhing. The trail comes to the Dudh Kosi Valley before to uphill to Phakding.

We will cross a river thanks to a suspension bridge and uphill following the shoreline to Chumoa, where there are some coffee shops. Afterward, we will walk through the forest and different small villages. The last two hours, uphill climb to Namche Bazaar, nicknamed the capital of Sherpa. An excellent time to understand their lives in the mountain and to discover their cultural heritage.

To prevent the altitude sickness, you will have a free day in Namche Bazaar. If you are feeling good and wants to explore, you could hike to Syangboche Everest View hotel, the highest hotel in the world to observe close view of Mt. Everest, Amadablam, Thamserku, Lhotse.

Today we will walk through a rhododendron forest with many mani (Tibetan mantra engraved stones) to Pangboche. On the high part of this village is exposed the skull and the hand of a supposed yeti, the emblematic and mystic animal of Himalaya. Afterward, we will walk through others small villages.

Today we will hike up to Chhukung Valley, which is lies on the southern slopes of Lhotse and Nuptse by the Lho Glacier and the Nup Glacier, the western slopes of Cho Polu and Baruntse by the Imja Glaciers, and the northern slopes of Mount Ama Dablam by the Ama Dablam Glacier and Chukhung Glacier. This area was traditionally used as a yak pasture with no permanent habitation. With the popularity of the Mount Everest Trek, several lodges have been built there.

The trail climbs steadily to Khumbu Glacier during 3 hours. Then, we could see a set of a memorial dedicated to Sherpas and trekkers who lost their lives in the Himalaya. A last short ascent leads to Lobuche.

Early in the morning, we will hike up to Kalapatthar. This peak offers the best view of the Everest summit of the entire trek. Enjoy and take some photos to keep memories of this breath-taking view. Now, its time to going back and after your great ascension, the trail is going to seem easy.
