Rise early for a magical experience as you transfer to the Angkor Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since December 14, 1992. Begin your day at the majestic Angkor Wat, where you’ll witness the breathtaking sunrise as the sun slowly rises behind the temple’s iconic towers, a truly unforgettable moment.

After enjoying the sunrise, explore the Angkor Wat complex, one of the largest religious monuments in the world, renowned for its grandeur, intricate carvings, and rich symbolism.

Return to your hotel for a hearty breakfast, before continuing your journey into the ancient city of Angkor Thom.

Enter Angkor Thom through the South Gate, and visit the impressive Bayon Temple, famous for its 54 towers adorned with over 200 smiling stone faces. Continue your exploration by walking through the city to see:

• Baphuon Temple, an ancient pyramid-style temple.
• Phimeanakas, once the royal temple within the palace grounds.
• Walk through the East Gate of ancient Royal Palace area to visit the Terrace of the Elephants, used by the king as a viewing platform for public ceremonies.
• Continue to the Terrace of the Leper King, known for its detailed carvings and mysterious history.

Next, venture into the jungle to discover the serene and less-visited Ta Nei Temple, surrounded by lush forest.

Then visit the iconic Ta Prohm Temple, famously known as the Tomb Raider Temple, where nature and architecture intertwine dramatically. Left partially unrestored, massive tree roots engulf the ruins, giving a vivid impression of how the temples appeared when rediscovered in the 19th century.

After exploring, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit Banteay Kdei, a peaceful monastic complex, and then head to Sras Srang, also known as the Royal Bath, where Khmer royalty once bathed.

After breakfast at your hotel, embark on a journey to the outskirts of Siem Reap to visit the exquisite Banteay Srei Temple, often referred to as the “Crown Jewel of Khmer Art.” Built in the 10th century, this small but intricately carved pink sandstone temple is also known as the “Lady Temple”, thanks to its delicate, detailed artwork believed to be too fine for the hands of men.

Continue your adventure to the remote and mysterious Beng Mealea Temple, a sprawling, overgrown complex that offers a true sense of discovery. Often described as a “sister temple” to Angkor Wat, Beng Mealea was built by the same king, Suryavarman II. Here, you’ll feel like Henri Mouhot, the French explorer who rediscovered Angkor Wat in 1860, as you explore this atmospheric ruin wrapped in jungle.

After exploring, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit the Roluos Group, the site of the earliest capital of the Khmer Empire, dating back to the early 9th century. These temples mark the beginning of classical Khmer architecture and include:

• Lolei Temple, once an island temple in a baray (reservoir), with impressive carvings.
• Preah Ko, or “Sacred Bull,” known for its dedication to the king’s ancestors and beautiful stucco work.
• Bakong Temple, the first pyramid-style temple built by the Khmer, which laid the foundation for future temple-mountain architecture like Angkor Wat.
