This tour covers the regions in Ghana where history and culture is mainly dominated. The regions are, Greater Accra Region, Centra Region, Ashanti Region, Eastern Region, and Western Region. This tour will also give the tourist a complete experience and feel of the Ghanaian lifestyle and how the locals percieve things around them.
Arrival
Upon arriving at the Kotoka International Airport, a guide or driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. They would also assist you with your hotel check in and preparations for the next day. Hotel Check in begins at 12:00pm

Morning Activities
Your guide will take you to exchange your currency for Cedi. For guests who prefer to use the ATM or bank, you would be taken to the closest one available to get some money. For guests who are interested in sewing some African attire, we can arrange a meeting with a tailor to take your measurements and styles for sewing.
W.E.B. Du Bois Center
Dr. William Edward Burgardt is considered the father of Pan Africanism. He was invited by the first president of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, to Ghana to edit an encyclopedia of African history and was given a home to live in with his wife till he passed on. His home is now a Museum known as the W.E.B Du Bois Centre. The centre has instore Dr. Du Bois’ personal belongings, honorary awards and numerous publications in his library on display. His tomb and the cremated body of the wife can be found at the centre as well.
Artists Alliance Gallery
The Artists Alliance Gallery was established by the Ghanaian artist Ablade Glover which has over the years become one of the most important of its kind in Ghana. There are three expansive floors of art displayed in cool marble galleries. Art works by established artists, such as Owusu Ankomah and George Hughes while others are by new and upcoming artists like Ebenezer Borlabie. The art works are inspired by market, rural and urban scenes interspersed with political satires. There are also the shrouded figures and crowd scenes by Glover himself. Other art works like the Asafo flags with appliquéd and embroidered symbols, ancient strip-woven Kente cloths by the Akan and Ewe, African masks of the type that inspired Picasso and intricately carved furniture.

Bonwire Kente Weaving Village
Guests will visit the Bonwire Kente Weaving Village, one of the leading Kente weaving communities in Ghana. Kente is a local cloth introduced by 2 brothers who were inspired by the spider and how it wove its web. It is woven on a horizontal strip loom, which produces a narrow band of cloth about four inches wide, carefully arranged and hand-sewn together to create a cloth. The cloth is usually worn for ceremonial purposes like naming ceremonies, marriages, funerals, festivals and enstoolment of traditional rulers. It is also used as a means of communication with the different patterns, designs and colours they have.
Ntonsu Craft Village
Ntonsu Village is the leading producer of adinkra crafts, symbols and clothes in Ghana. Adinkra symbols are proverbial symbols, uniquely designed with motives of sending a message across, advising and also to praise people or some supernatural beings. At this destination, guests get to see and learn the process of making adinkra cloth from dye preparation, to cloth dying to adinkra stamping and then to the embroidery done over the adinkra stamps. These clothes were initially done in brown, black and red mainly for funerals but are currently done in different colors for commercial purposes.

Manhyia Palace
The Manhyia Palace is the official residence/seat of the king of the Ashantis and the administrative headquarters of the Ashanti Kingdom. The Palace was built by the British 1925 to replace the original palace destroyed during the Yaa Asantewaa War to welcome Nana Prempeh I from Exile in Seychelles Island. Guests will visit the Museum that holds the history and traditional values and heritage of the Ashantis. It has on display statues of different kings that have ruled the Ashanti Kingdom, the original furniture, stools and palanquins that were used by previous kings..
Prempeh II Jubilee Museum
The Prempeh museum is a national workshop for arts, craft and cultural performances and a museum for guests to learn about the history and some cherished values of the Ashantis. The museum has the personal belongings of Nana Prempeh II like his war attire, protective amulets, equipment for dining and bathing, jewelries and many others. Guests will visit to see some of the culturally inspired arts and crafts that guest can learn about the heritage of the Ashantis from.
Okomfo Anokye Sword Site
Guests would visit the Okomfo Anokye Sword site, which harbors an unmovable Sword planted by a high priest called Okomfo Anokye almost 300 years ago. He is believed to have warned that the Ashanti Kingdom is bound to collapse once the sword is removed from its current spot and there have been failed attempts to take it out. The site was predicted by Okomfo Anokye to be a healing place and it is now where the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital is situated. The site was also where the famous Golden Stool of Ashanti Kingdom was commanded.

Assin Manso Ancestral River and Market
The Assin Manso Slave Camp is a historical site where slaves were taken for their last bath before moved to the castles for shipping into the new world. The slaves were captured from different places and neighboring countries, taken through paths in the forests on foot, half naked and in shackles from the north to the south of Ghana. The site is a slave burial site and it also houses the tombs from the remains of descendants of slaves that were returned from the diaspora. Guests would have the opportunity to get close to their ancestors, as people believe the spirits of many ancestors reside there and can be felt.
Cape Coast Castle
Guests would visit one of the largest castles built by the Europeans in 1652 to keep slaves. This was where slaves were kept before being taken to the “new world” through the door of no return. The door of no return is now referred to as the door of return to signify the return of the descendants of slaves from the diaspora. The castle has served various purposes and is currently designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the history of slavery is kept authentic and told from the African perspective.

Kakum National Park
Guests would visit the second largest national park in Ghana, the Kakum National Park. The canopy walkway, the main attraction for the visit, was built by 2 Canadians and 6 Ghanaians in 1994, commissioned in 1995. The walkway is a suspension bridge which is from 11 to about 50 meters high with a distance of about 350 meters. Guests are assured safety as three of the Ghanaians who helped to build the walkway are still with the park and carry out periodic maintenance. Guests get to appreciate the variety in the vegetation and some bird and butterfly species in the rainforest from a fascinating view above. This tour is recommended for those who want to conquer their fear of heights.
Elmina Castle
The Elmina Castle is the oldest and the largest castle below the Sahara built by the Europeans in 1482. It was initially built as trade settlements with warehouses for keeping goods and items exchanged. Later, the warehouses were converted to male and female dungeons where slaves were kept for a maximum of 3 months to be shipped to the “new world”. The Elmina castle is now recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Castle has served many purposes like Prisons, as a secondary school, and is now a historical site that connects guests to their heritage and roots.

Meet with Tailor to Pick Up Clothes
On day 7, guests can meet with the tailor to pick up Clothes and if there are any alterations to be done on the clothes, it would be done on this day.
Kwame Nkrumah Museum
Guests would visit the Kwame Nkrumah Museum/Memorial park. It is the final resting place of the first president of Ghana, who liberated Gold Coast from Colonial rule. The museum houses the personal effects and publications of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah at various stages of his life from childhood to his political life till his overthrow and death. There are some pictures and videos showing his life history with some famous personalities across the world. The premise was where Kwame Nkrumah stood to declare Ghana independent.
Black Star Square
Guests would visit the Independence Square also known as the Black Star Square. It is a vast expanse overlooked by stands that can seat about 30,000 people. It was built by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah to commemorate Ghana’s independence as a symbol of national unity and self-reliance and commissioned during the visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Ghana in 1961. The Square hosts major national and commercial events within the country. It has features like the Independence Arc, the Flame of Liberation and the Black Star Monument.
Art Center
The Arts and Craft Market is a community of stalls where crafts and souvenirs inspired by the Ghanaian culture like kente cloths, beads, carvings and many other accessories are exhibited for purchase. Guests get the opportunity to move from stall to stall to appreciate and purchase some memento as memories from their visit to Ghana. Vendors are also always at the service of guests and are willing to persuade in their bid to convince guests to consider their wares since there are similar items available at the same venue by various sellers as well.
Shopping for Souvenirs
Guests who are interested in shopping for souvenirs to take back home with them as a reminder of their travels and to show where they have been can do so on this day. If you want to experience a local Ghanaian market, we would definitely recommend visiting the Makola Market which has a very vibrant atmosphere and you can find so many Local things to purchase. Tourists who are interested in arts and crafts like wood carvings, paintings and African printed clothes and accessories can also visit the Accra Arts Center or the Osu Oxford street.
NB: You have the option of going shopping by yourself with an Uber or Taxi or we could make arrangements for our driver to drive you to these shopping centers.

On the last day, guests will have some time for last minute preparations like exploring the city on their own (depending on your time of departure), packing, hotel checkout, and receiving covid test results before checking in at the airport for final departure.

By booking a tour or participating in a tour and any related products or services with Pro Tour, you agree to these Terms & Conditions
THE BOOKING CONTRACT
Your booking is confirmed and a contract exists when the Pro Tour or your travel agent issues a written confirmation after receipt of the applicable deposit amount. Please ensure that you check your confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to the us or the authorized agent immediately. Please ensure that names are exactly as stated in the relevant passport or other forms of identification.
To book a tour you must be at least 18 years of age. You also agree to provide complete and accurate information required to Pro Tour or authorized agent.
BOOKING ON BEHALF OF OTHERS
By booking on behalf of other participants, you are deemed to be the designated contact person for every participant included on that booking. This means that you are responsible for making all payments due in connection with your booking, notifying us or your travel agent if any changes or cancellations are required and keeping your party informed.
You also represent and warrant that you have obtained all required consents. You are responsible for verifying that any information you provide on behalf of another participant is complete and accurate and we will under no circumstances be liable for any errors or omissions in the information provided to complete a booking.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Any special needs must be made known to Pro Tour at the time of booking. Pro Tour ensure that it uses reasonable efforts to accommodate special needs or requests but this will not always be possible depending on the nature of the request, the destinations visited and availability of options outside a planned itinerary. Some activities may be inaccessible to you if your mobility is limited in any way. All food allergies and dietary restrictions must be disclosed to Pro Tour at the time of booking but we cannot guarantee that dietary needs or restrictions can be accommodated. Any special requests or requirements do not form part of these Terms or the contract between you and the Pro Tour and we are not liable for any failure to accommodate or fulfill such requests.
AGE REQUIREMENTS
Anyone under the age of 18 on the date of first travel is considered to be a minor. Minors must always be accompanied by an adult.
All bookings with a minor are subject to review and approval by Pro Tour. The consent of a parent, guardian or any other adult is required for booking and if the accompanying adult is responsible for securing and verifying all consents, documentation and ensuring that they and the minor(s) meet all legal requirements to travel, to enter into and depart from applicable countries and regions.
Pro Tour will not be responsible for any fees, damages, or losses incurred as a result of any failure to secure necessary consents, permits, and approvals.
Each adult on a booking with a minor or minor(s) is jointly and severally responsible for the behavior, wellbeing, supervision and monitoring of such minor(s), and jointly and severally accepts these Terms for and on behalf of any minor(s) on their booking, including all assumptions of risk and limitations of liability. Pro Tour does not provide care services for minors and expressly disclaims any responsibility for chaperoning or controlling any minor(s).
PRICES, SURCHARGES AND TAXES
Pro Tour will not increase the price of your Tour after you have booked and paid in full. Tours are priced and advertised inclusive of applicable taxes.
From time-to-time Pro Tour may offer reduced pricing on certain products or services. Reduced pricing applies only to new bookings. Bookings that have been confirmed and paid for to Pro Tour are not entitled to reduce pricing.
VALIDITY
All dates, itineraries and prices of Tours are subject to change at any time and the current price will be quoted and confirmed at the time of booking, subject to any surcharges that may be levied in accordance with these Terms.
You acknowledge that you are responsible for keeping up to date on specific details of your Tour and any other products or services, including, but not limited to checking the Tour Operator’s website or through a mail at least 72 hours prior to departure as minor changes may have been made after the time of booking.
AIRFARE
Tour prices do not include international or other airfare unless expressly mentioned in the Tour’s descriptions. If you would like us to arrange any airfare travel at an additional cost, you acknowledge that Pro Tour acts only as a sales agent for the applicable air carrier and the air carrier terms and conditions apply to the purchase and use of the air travel ticket. Please consult the air carrier’s applicable terms and conditions and conditions of carriage for complete information including applicable cancellation terms. Pro Tour would not be responsible for changes in air itineraries or flight times and does not provide advice or alerts regarding air travel tickets, flight status or delays.
FINAL PAYMENT & ACCEPTANCE OF BOOKING
The confirmation sent by the Pro Tour or your travel agent will contain details of final payment required for any booking. Pro Tour is not responsible for any charges levied by third parties or financial institutions and payable by you as a result of credit card or other payment transactions and will not refund or return any fees charged by third parties or financial institutions in connection with payments made by you to Pro Tour.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
It is your responsibility to obtain information and to have in your possession all the required documentation and identification required for entry, departure and travel to each country or region. This includes a valid passport and all travel documents required by the relevant governmental authorities including all visas, permits and certificates (including but not limited to vaccination or medical certificates) and insurance policies.
CANCELLATION BY THE PARTICIPANT
You may cancel your booking by notifying the Pro Tour. Cancellation fees, if any, will be determined with reference to the date on which notice of cancellation is received by Pro Tour and are expressed as a percentage of the total price paid for the cancelled Tour, product or service.
Cancellation of a Tour
(a) Cancellation received 60 days or more before departure of first product or service in relevant booking will be refunded after cancellation charges of 5% are deducted and the remainder of the payments made to Pro Tour in respect of the cancelled product will be refunded.
(b) Cancellation received 30-59 days before departure of first product or service in relevant booking will be refunded after cancellation charges of 10% are deducted and the remainder of the payments made to Pro Tour in respect of the cancelled product will be refunded.
(c) Cancellation less than 30 days before departure of first product or service in relevant booking will be refunded after cancellation charges of 15% are deducted and the remainder of the payments made to Pro Tour in respect of the cancelled product will be refunded.
Cancellation of Arrival Transfers, Pre and Post Night Accommodations, My Own Room and optional activities booked directly with the Tour Operator:
(a) Cancellation before departure: you will receive a full refund (if no cancellation fee is required) in respect of cancelled Arrival Transfers, Pre and Post Night Accommodations, My Own Room and optional activities.
CANCELLATION BY PRO TOUR
A departure date for a Tour offered by Pro Tour will become a guaranteed departure when at least one booking secured by a valid deposit has been made on that departure.
Pro Tour guarantees that all scheduled Tour departures booked and secured with a valid deposit will depart as indicated on the applicable confirmation, subject to reasonable itinerary changes as described in these Terms or good faith health and safety concerns. Up to date Tour and itinerary information is available on Pro Tour’s website or by contacting us. Brochures and other printed materials displaying Tour information and departure dates are subject to change may not be relied upon for purposes of this guarantee.
If a Tour is cancelled by the Tour Operator before the date of departure and the cancellation is not caused by your fault or negligence, you will have the choice of accepting from Pro Tour:
(a) a substitute Tour of equivalent or superior value; or
(b) a substitute Tour of lesser value if no Tour of equivalent or superior value is reasonably available and to recover from Pro Tour the difference in price between the price of the Tour originally purchased and the substitute Tour; or
(c) a full refund of all monies paid for the cancelled Tour.
Pro Tour is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that you incur as a result of the cancelled booking including visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail, non refundable car parking or other fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment, Pro Tour reserves the right to issue a full refund in lieu of the choices above, in its sole discretion. Where a significant element of a Tour as described cannot be provided after departure, the Tour Operator will make suitable alternative arrangements where possible. If it is not possible to provide a suitable alternative or if you reasonably reject any suitable alternatives, the Pro Tour may provide you with a refund for unused products or services as determined in its discretion.
LIABILITY
Pro Tour and its parents, subsidiaries and their respective employees, affiliates, officers, directors, successors, representatives, and assigns shall not be held liable for (A) any damage to, or loss of, property or injury to, or death of, persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any other provider, including but not limited to any defect in any aircraft, watercraft, or vehicle operated or provided by such other provider; and (B) any loss or damage due to delay, cancellation, or disruption in any manner caused by the laws, regulations, acts or failures to act, demands, orders, or interpositions of any government or any subdivision or agent thereof, or by acts of God, strikes, fire, flood, war, rebellion, terrorism, insurrection, sickness, quarantine, epidemics, theft, or any other cause(s) beyond their control. You waive any claim against Pro Tour for any such loss, damage, injury, or death.
In the event that any loss, death, injury or illness is caused by the negligent acts or omissions of the Tour Operator or of the Third Party Suppliers of any services which form part of the booking contract then the Tour Operator limits its liability, where applicable by all applicable international conventions.
IMAGES AND MARKETING
You agree that, while participating in any Tour, images, photos or videos may be taken by other participants, Pro Tour or its representatives that may contain or feature you. You consent to any such pictures being taken and grants a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to Pro Tour, its contractors, sub-contractors and assigns, to reproduce for any purpose whatsoever (including marketing, promotions and the creation of promotional materials by or with sub-licensees), in any medium whatsoever, whether currently known or hereinafter devised, without any further obligation or compensation payable to you.
