The classic Vietnam beginners tour, following the route from north to south. You get to know all the highlights of the country and relax at the end of a few days on the island of Phu Quoc, only 50 km from the Vietnamese mainland.
The classic route takes you through North Vietnam with the capital Hanoi and Halong Bay, via Central Vietnam with the towns of Hoi An and Hue, to South Vietnam with the major city of Saigon and the Mekong Delta. Finally, you can choose between a 5 or 9 day beach holiday on Phu Quoc Island, returning via Saigon. You cross the greater distances of about 600 km between the individual regions of the country in each case with a one-hour flight.The implementation guarantee is already secured from 2 people. Experience the vibrant metropolis of Hanoi today, which impresses with its magnificent colonial buildings and pagodas. On a city tour we will show you the highlights of Hanoi:
- The Ho Chi Minh Complex with its mausoleum (you can enter the mausoleum or skip the visit if you prefer), the Presidential Palace, the historic Stilt House and the One Pillar Pagoda.
*** The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays, as well as from October to the end of December due to renovation work.
- Temple of Literature, a temple of Confucius and also the first university of Vietnam.
- Take a walk around the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake and visit the so-called "Jade Mountain Temple", the Ngoc Son Temple.
- Enjoy a rickshaw ride through Hanoi's Old Quarter and experience everyday life in Hanoi with your own eyes.
- A performance by the Water Puppet Theatre rounds off the day.
*** Tip: It is a wonderful experience to enjoy a cup of egg coffee in the Pho Co Café with breathtaking views of Hoan Kiem Lake and the surrounding area (coffee is self-pay, approx. 3-4 euros per person).

Exploring the ancient imperial city of Hue (B)
Today you will take a boat trip on the beautiful Huong River, also known as the "Perfume River", to the Thien Mu Pagoda, which is well worth seeing. With its imposing Phuoc Duyen Tower, this pagoda is the highest in Vietnam. You will then visit the legendary Imperial Palace and tour the venerable imperial city of Hue. A visit to the Trang Tien Bridge and the Dong Ba Market in Hue's old town will give you a unique insight into the exciting Vietnamese culture and cuisine.
In the afternoon, embark on an excursion to explore Hue's famous royal tombs, illustrious examples of the Grand Dynasty's past and garden houses.
The tour ends at around 5.00 pm and you will be taken back to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in Hue.

Hue - Danang - Hoi An (cloud passes and sandy beaches) (F)
Onward journey to Hoi An with a stopover on the 496 m high Cloud Pass, the weather divide between the subtropical north and tropical south. On this day you will see the kilometer-long beach of Lang Co and the Marble Mountains in Danang.
Hue - Hoi An: Approx. 150 km ~ 3.5 hours drive (including breaks on the way)
We stop in Danang and take a hike to Marble Mountain, a collection of five hills made of limestone and marble. It is also a well-known pilgrimage site with peaks, caves, tunnels and temples. When you reach the summit, you will get a spectacular panoramic view of the city of Danang.
We continue to the nearby town of Hoi An. From the 16th to the 18th century, Hoi An was a thriving international trading port. Today it is a picturesque riverside town popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, tailor shops and cafes.
Check into your hotel in Hoi An, the rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner on your own and overnight stay in Hoi An.

Explore Hoi An Old Town & cycle to the local village (F, M)
This morning we explore the picturesque town of Hoi An on foot. Take a walking tour through the winding narrow streets of the old quarter, visit the Chua Ong Pagoda or Phuc Kien Pagoda, the Assembly Hall, the 200-year-old Tam Ky House and the covered Japanese Bridge. During the walk, you will also have the opportunity to attend a cultural show with traditional music and dance performances.
The last point is the Precious Heritage Museum, which houses the permanent exhibition of Réhahn's Precious Heritage Collection. Discover impressive portraits, stories and heirlooms that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
You then set off with your guide on a bike tour to the village of Tra Que. There, a short walk takes you through the farm's vegetable garden: watch the farmers at work in the fields and learn interesting facts about vegetable cultivation. Afterwards, relax with a short foot bath and a foot massage before preparing your own lunch. After a break, you say goodbye to your hosts and are taken back to your hotel in the van.

The rest of the day is free for you to explore Hoi An on your own.

Red Bridge cooking class with boat tour in Hoi An (morning) - English guided
In the morning, you will meet the chef of the Red Bridge restaurant for a personally guided shopping tour at the market. Here you will experience Hoi An up close, you will get an impression of the lively life, the foreign sounds and the smells of the city and its markets. You will bargain with the traders and buy fresh ingredients for your lunch. After shopping, a boat will take you to the Red Bridge Cooking School on the Hoi An River. There you will learn a lot of interesting facts about Vietnamese herbs, spices, ingredients and the art of decoration. The chef will show you how to prepare some of the most delicious Vietnamese dishes. Afterwards, you can get "creative" yourself under his guidance and conjure up Vietnamese and Hoi An specialties for yourself.
Hoi An Eco Tour (fishing village) - English guided

On this tour, you will discover the unique fishing villages and the fishing techniques of the locals on the beautiful waterways flanked by coconut plantations and bamboo groves. You will immerse yourself in the authentic social structures and culture of the local population.
My Son ½ day trip
The tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and you will make your way to My Son. Once there, you will visit the capital Tra Kieu, the former administrative center of the Kingdom of Champa. Discover the majestic ruins of My Son.
Excursion to the hills of Ba Na with a visit to the Golden Bridge
This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel by your tour guide and taken to the hills of Ba Na, around 25 kilometers from Da Nang. The region served the former French colonial rulers as a health resort, but quickly fell into oblivion after the occupying power left. Only the construction of an amusement park awoke the region from its slumber, which can only be reached by a cable car that climbs almost 1500 meters. Once at the top, you can visit Le Jardin Garden D'Amour, the Luna Castle, the Sun Palace and, of course, the famous Golden Bridge. The 150-metre-long pedestrian bridge, which is supported by two giant hands, offers a picturesque view of the tropical rainforest of the Ba Na Hills.
From the Ba Na Hills it is a direct route to Da Nang airport for your onward flight to Saigon.

The tunnel system, which was built during the war battles in southern Vietnam, reveals sobering insights into the devotion of the Vietcong, who lived almost completely underground in the narrow tunnels for up to 10 years!

Today you will get to know the modern city of Saigon during a city tour:
Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral was built between 1863 and 1880 by French colonists. It is a famous Romanesque cathedral in South Vietnam. Notre Dame Cathedral is also located in the center of Paris Square in France.
Saigon Post Office is one of the oldest buildings in Ho Chi Minh City. It was built between 1886 and 1891 according to the design of Gustave Eiffel, a famous French architect, and has become the busiest post office in Vietnam. Here you can send postcards, buy stamps and books, exchange money, buy souvenirs and enjoy the elegant architecture. At first glance, visitors may feel like they are looking at an old train station from the 20th century in Europe.
The Reunification Palace (formerly known as the Independence Palace) has been remembered by many generations. It is the famous historic building that survived the two fierce wars against the French and Americans. Numerous paintings, weapons and other artifacts are on display in the basement beneath the palace
Ngoc Hoang Pagoda. Built in 1909 to honor the supreme Taoist god (the Jade Emperor or King of Heaven, Ngoc Hoang), this is one of the most atmospheric temples in Ho Chi Minh City, filled with statues of fantastical deities and grotesque heroes.
Visit an authentic Vietnamese market. These vendors sell a variety of products, such as seafood, vegetables, daily tools and clothing. In a real Vietnamese market you will find everything at affordable prices
