The Langtang Valley and Tamang Heritage Trek package allows you to explore exclusive Tamang culture and heritage through Langtang Valley. The Langtang Valley is rich in culture and history, as well as an abundance of wildlife. It's also called the "Valley of Glaciers." The picturesque scenery of pine forests, quick mountain streams, rugged rocks, and mountains is sure to provide a memorable experience. During the Tamang Heritage and Langtang Trek package, you will learn about Tibetan ancestry. You will also learn about the region's culture, agriculture, and trade. After the massive earthquake in 2015, the majority of the Langtang Valley was destroyed. But as evidenced by the kind and gentle smiles the people greet you with, they are certainly making a comeback. There, you can enjoy colorful rhododendrons, birds, and butterflies.

The Tamang Heritage and Langtang Valley Trek begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Gatlang. From there, you'll begin your trek to Chilime, Nagtahli, Thuman, Buddhism, the Lama Hotel, Langtang Village, and Kyanjin. You will also have the opportunity to explore the Gatlang Valley during your trek. You are also going to visit Ghoda Tabela (a horse stable) and the Tserko Ri viewpoint. While traveling, we enjoy the expansive alpine views of the surrounding peaks and relax in Tatopani's natural hot springs. As we travel further north, we learn about the local history and admire a fortress, a monastery, and the beautiful Tamang buildings' unique architecture. After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu via the Lama Hotel and Syabrubesi. You can enjoy the spectacular view of the mountains from the window seat.
The Best Time to Trek
The best seasons for this hike are spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November). The shade increases in the spring, the rhododendron, Nepal's national flower, blooms fully, and the sky is nearly blue and clear in the fall.

● Kyanjin Gompa offers horseback riding: per hour, $80 per person.
● Porter services: per day, $25 (one porter can transport 18 kilograms of luggage and distribute it between two clients; both clients are advised to bring 9 kilograms of luggage each.).
After breakfast, drive along the Trishuli River to Gatlang. The road from Syabrubesi takes you into Langtang National Park, where you immediately notice the remote, high-altitude settlements. Follow the trail to a viewpoint at Dhunche for stunning views of Ganesh Himal, Goljang Valley, and the Gosaikunda range. At Gatlang, meet the friendly locals, who are mostly from the Tamang community, and spend the night.

Prepare for a relatively difficult trek by having a filling breakfast in the morning. The trail follows the Bhotekoshi River, passing through several villages before ascending to Nagthali, a once-popular meditation hub for monks and priests. Nagthali is an area covered in open grasslands with panoramic views of snow-capped mountains such as Langtang Lirung, Kerung, and Ganesh Himal.

We begin the day with a descending walk of about an hour to reach Thuman. One of the Tamang villages where Tibetan culture has had a significant influence is Thuman. The people here are friendly and enjoy singing and dancing. Later, we walk through rhododendron forests and meadows to Briddhim, another Tibetan-influenced Tamang community in the lap of Langtang Himal. The trail to Briddhim is beautiful in the spring, when the entire rhododendron forest blooms. In Briddhim, you can enjoy traditional local cuisine and participate in cultural activities.

We kick off our day bright and early, embarking on a scenic trek towards Lama Hotel. As we navigate the winding path, we'll find ourselves immersed in lush jungle surroundings, occasionally passing through quaint villages along the way. Keep an eye out for stunning breathtaking views of the majestic mountains and rolling hills that adorn the landscape, offering a truly breathtaking backdrop to our journey.

Today's trek includes a challenging ascent of approximately 1000 meters. We start by navigating a steep forest slope leading up to the Langtang River. Our journey continues as we reach Ghoda Tabela, so-called the Horse Stable. Along the way, we're treated to the picturesque sight of Yaks eating in the valley, adding to the scenic charm of our trek. As we ascend further, we cross a stream and pass by numerous water-driven prayer wheels. Eventually, we arrive at Langtang, one of the oldest villages along this trail, where the breathtaking view of towering mountain peaks awaits us.

After breakfast, head for Kyanjin Gompa. Along the way, you’ll cross several yak pastures, wooden bridges, and villages. Along the path to Kyanjin Gompa, you can see the wonderful view of Langtang Lirung. The trail passes through the largest Mani wall, made from stone and with prayers written on them, the water mills, chortens, a sacred pile of rocks with various inscriptions carved on them, and many more. After crossing a few rivers, we reach Kyanjin Gompa. Kyajing Gompa is surrounded by the Himalayas in every direction. Here, you can test the cheese and curd made from Yak milk.

Relax for the day by exploring the surrounding areas of Kyanjin Gompa.
Today you will explore in and around Kyanjin Gompa. You can also go for a hike to Tserko RI (5000m) for magnificent mountain views. As Tserko RI lies at quite a high altitude, you might feel the thin air, but it is not the place where you will spend your night. After getting some wonderful views of the mountains and the surroundings, we returned to Kyanjin Gompa. In the remaining time, you can stroll around Kyanjing Gompa and enjoy the surrounding views along with various flora and fauna.

Today, we are going to follow the familiar path from Kyanjin Gompa to Ghoda Tabela, retracing our steps with ease. The return journey promises to be easier and more enjoyable, allowing us to appreciate the natural beauty of the landscape once more. After approximately five hours of hiking, we will return to the Lama Hotel. You'll be able to rest and rejuvenate while admiring the breathtaking views that surround us.

Today marks the end of our trekking journey. Following breakfast, we will begin our descent to Syabrubesi. The trail ahead is mostly downhill, winding through lush green forests that provide a peaceful backdrop to our journey. As we wander along the path, we will follow the river's course until we arrive in Syabrubesi.

Today, you'll drive back to Kathmandu. You'll see a lot of mountainous villages and settlements along the way. The road leading up to Dhanding Besi is a little bumpy, but once there, it is relatively smooth. During the drive, you can admire the scenery of hills, farms, small towns, and rivers. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Terms & Conditions
Introductory provision:
“Company” refers to Asian Heritage Travel.
“Customer” refers to any person or organization trading with the Company or its employees or sub-contractors whether relating to the Companies products or services.
“Contract” refers to the agreement between the Company and the Customer in relation to a booking.
“Holiday package” refers to any activity, trek, tour, course, accommodation or service offered by the Company.
“Working days” means: Sundays to Fridays, with the exception of recognized public holidays.
“Office hours” mean: Sundays to Fridays from 08:00-18:00, with the exception of recognized public holidays.
“Group member” refers to an individual who falls within a group which is related to a Holiday package being offered by the Company.
Terms & Conditions:
These Terms and Conditions, together with all information relating to your chosen Holiday package, shall be part of the Contract between Asian Heritage Treks & Expeditions (“the Company”) and you (“the Customer”). Please read them carefully as they set out your and our respective rights and obligations. By asking the Company to confirm your booking, the Company is entitled to assume that the Customer has had the opportunity to read these booking conditions and legally agrees to abide by them.
Note:
When you confirm the Holiday package, we need a photo copy of your passport and upon the creation of the Contract; a deposit must be paid equal to 15% of the total agreed travel sum. The remainder of the travel sum must be received by the Company no later than six weeks before the day of departure. If the Contract is concluded within 6 weeks of the day of departure, the travel sum must be paid immediately and in full. Different terms and conditions may exist between other Customers and the Company; these terms and conditions are not transferable. In addition, payment arrangements may differ. This will not render the remainder of the contract void.
Asian Heritage Travel cannot be held responsible for the following:
• Injury, accident, illness, death while on the Holiday package unless negligence is proven against the Company.
• The loss, theft or damage to valuable or personal property such as camera, sunglasses, luggage.
• Alterations in the itinerary, and any subsequent costs, resulting from such events as illness of a Group member, unsafe weather conditions, delayed flights, and non-granting of permits or visas.
Cancelation charges:
Should you need to cancel your chosen Holiday package after it has been confirmed, you must immediately inform the Company in written form by recorded delivery post, fax or email. The notice of cancellation will only be effective when the Company receives it in written form. Cancellations outside Office hours are deemed to have been made on the next Working day.
If a contract is cancelled, the Customer is liable to pay cancellation charges in addition to any booking charges. The cancellation charges are as follows:
• cancellation up to the 42nd day before the day of departure: the deposit;
• cancellation from the 42nd day up to the 28th day before the day of departure: 35% of the travel sum;
• cancellation from the 28th day up to the 21st day before the day of departure: 40% of the travel sum;
• cancellation from the 21st day up to the 14th day before the day of departure: 50% of the travel sum;
• cancellation from the 14th day up to the 5th day before the day of departure: 75% of the travel sum;
• cancellation from the 5th day up to the day of departure: 90% of the travel sum;
• cancellation on the day of departure or later: the full travel sum.
