Budget 5 Days Marvelous Egypt, Cairo & Luxor (Train)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then meet your personal guide who will accompany you to the Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. You will continue to explore the rest of Giza plateau including the sight of Khafre’s (kaphren) pyramid - Khufu's son, the second-largest pyramid on Giza site, the remains of the funeral temple, the pyramid of Mankawra (Mykerinus) and 3 small pyramids. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, which dates from the time of Chephren. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chefren. After visiting the pyramids, you'll then continue across the plateau for a photo opportunity of the three pyramids rising from the sands, with the Cairo skyline in the background.

We will then visit The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities, and dates back some 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Afterwards, we'll transfer you to the train station for your overnight  train to Luxor.

Overnight on Train

 Arrive in Luxor and be met by our representative. Start your tour of the Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. Although badly ruined, no site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man and represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders.

You will have free time to explore before your transfer to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahary, Queen Hatshepsut was the first great woman in recorded history the forerunner of such figures as Cleopatra, Catherine the Great and Elizabeth I.

Afterwards we will visit the Valley of the Kings, which contains some 60 tombs, starting with Thutmose I and ending with Ramses X or XI. Tutankhamun’s tomb was the first royal tomb to be discovered that was still largely intact, you will visit 3 tombs.

Proceed to the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III Colossi of Memnon. After a day full of adventure we will transfer you back to the train station for your overnight  train to Cairo.

Enjoy breakfast in Cairo, you will be escorted by your private guide to visit to Citadel of Salah El-Din, where you will see the view of all Cairo, as you will visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque which is considered the largest to be built in the beginning of the 19th century the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Egypt over 45 years & it is built in Baruk style.

Than move to The Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan is regarded as the finest piece of early-Mamluk architecture era in Cairo, an age of architectural splendour. Story has it that the construction of this complex was a tedious and tragic process. In fact, it was built between 1356 and 1363 by the Sultan Hassan who was murdered shortly before the mosque was completed. Sultan Hassan’s madrassa-mosque was built out of huge blocks of stone. Only a glimpse of the splendour you’ll gaze at inside.

Al-Rifai Mosque (Masjid Al-Rifa’i)

Opposite the 14th-century Sultan Hassan Mosque, the Al-Rifai Mosque (Masjid Al-Rifa’i) is similarly grand. The mosque, built between 1869 and 1912, has a towering minaret and four decorated facades capped with an ornate dome. One of Cairo’s largest mosques, it houses the tombs of many members of the Egyptian royal family, including King Farouk.

You will move on to visit the Citadel of Salah El-Din, where you will see the view of all Cairo, as you will visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque which is considered the largest to be built in the beginning of the 19th century the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Egypt over 45 years & it is built in Baruk style.

Al-Muizz Al-Deen Allah Street

Than Move to visit not just Mosques but places, Streets and neighbourhoods Islamic Cairo day tour will start by one of the oldest streets in Egypt which are El Moez Le Din Allah Street is an eloquent witness for historical Cairo with the various monuments spread along both sides of the street Located Such as Bab El Fetouh and Bab El Nasr, then move towards the northern side of the city, in El Darb El Asfar, the most Ancient quarter of Islamic Cairo monuments where you visit Barqouq mosque & School in Nahassen, El Aqmar Mosque, the Mosque of El Saleh Tale, The Blue Mosque, the Dome, Hospital & School of Qalawoon etc… Also, you will be able to visit Bayt El Sehaymi is 350 years old.

If there is enough time, you will take a walk in Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the most Historically famous and oldest Market in the Middle East. Later, you will be transferred to hotel.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before you leave to the airport for your flight back home. Ancient Egypt Tours representative will pick you up and transfer you to the airport.

Pick-up for international flights is 4 hours before departure time of your flight

For domestic flights, 3 hours before departure time is enough

If your flight is early before breakfast time you can make arrangements with the hotel to prepare a breakfast box for you to take it on your way to the airport
